Series Two, Episode Eleven - A Memory Now Broken (July 5, 2013)

​November 5, 1992. Venturing into the skies on a joy flight with his brother, Ben; Edmund learns the basics of flying as only a young adult. As the engines fail, Edmund is forced to attempt to land the plane, though Ben is killed on impact. Faced with nightmares regarding the incident, the boy focuses on becoming a neurologist to study memory - his intelligence granting him a degree just five years later. Perfecting the restoration of an amnesiac's memory just once; Edmund is thrown into the world's spotlight; becoming internationally known as the world's first 'Professor of Memory'. Interviewed by America's president on TV, on May 11, 2000, the young man talks of his quick graduation and plans for the future. Breaking down when asked for his reasoning behind his career, Edmund walks out on live TV. Going to his lab at a university late at night, he works long with brains and chemicals - showing signs of insanity.

​Discussing the absence of word from Maya and Mina, Charlie reveals to Vera his fear for their lives. Changing the topic to distract him, Vera speaks of her sister. Talking of Darcy's crystal and her blood, Vera recognises her sister's possible use to the child - immediately grabbing Charlie, and riding to Quinlan's house. Barging in; sight of the witch compels Sophia to slap her - violently discussing her 'death' and sixteen years without communication. Breaking the fight up, Quinlan enquires into the appearance of the two - to which the mayor explains Darcy Jr.'s crystal and his intentions. Confused, Sophia attempts to ask Charlie for more, though Vera replies with "It's any blood of a Fertaine. That makes you a target." Still not understanding, Vera drags Charlie from the home, grumbling about Sophia's ignorance. Crying at a café, the woman reveals her fear for her family, while Charlie comforts her. Kissing her slightly, they both walk separate ways - both smiling to themselves.

​Back within range of Novus Somnium, Nickey, Arianna and Juan visit the cottage to find the cloak gone. Knowing their assailant to be Julien's murderer, they investigate further - until approached by a woman in the cloak - wielding a gun. Forced to flee, Juan reveals a photo of Maya and Mina locked up - the former officer with a bloodied face. Revealing their kidnapper to be Decorus Luna's mayor, he reveals the trap originally set for their arrival. Venturing back to Decorus Luna on the bike, the Bandana Man attempts to contact Julie, though he gets no reply. Arriving to the Mayor's office, Juan knocks out the receptionist as she tells him that Chris isn't there. Looking around, Ari uses her magic to unveil a holographic plan - pointing them towards a university research lab in Nocte Nebula. Agreeing to make the two hour ride, the Bandana Man arms the Powers with handguns. Faced with enquiry from Nickey, he simply says "I know Chris." - as the three ride from the city.

​April 27, 2001. Opening a research institution in Decorus Luna, Edmund is swarmed by thousands of admirers. Admitting his first patient, the doctor is introduced to a young woman named Vera Fertaine. Talking of being dumped, the woman expresses her wish to forget Darcy Sr., and the heartbreak he caused. Continuing to talk of the situation, Dr. Edmund explains the dangers behind removing memory - too simplifying an explanation of the complicated process. Taking her on a walk through the back gardens, he manages to unveil her deeper feelings regarding the incident. Crying, she talks of Darcy's betrayal, and her kids. As they talk more of life and return to the room, Vera enquires into his career choice - revealing he has no idea why.

​Talking through her cell to Mina in Chris' absence, Maya reveals memory loss regarding recent events. Explaining, the Pop Princess reveals that the Mayor betrayed them, and took three needles full of Maya's blood before attacking her. Loudly proclaiming her anger; Chris returns to the room, warning her to keep her mouth shut. As the two women argue with him, they go to use magic in a fit of rage - quickly realising the presence of anti-magic bracelets. Explaining the workings of the eternal life crystal, Chris taunts both of them, and he speaks of the explosion plot. Commenting that it is only days from being ready, another screaming match ensues - leading him to fill their cells with gas to knock them out.

​May 27, 2005. Having continued regular meetings, Vera and Edmund go for lunch - revealing their strong bond. Talking harshly of Charlie and Darcy Sr.; the woman tells him of Darcy's relationship with Letitia breaking down, following the disappearance of their baby. Texting a friend, Edmund proclaims extreme love for Vera and a willingness to do anything for her - though not being allowed to make a move on a patient. Together the next day, Vera asks him of his dedication to her, to which he repeats his willingness. Asking him to abandon his career, which funds them both; she tells him of a janitor job opportunity in the mayor's estate. Agreeing, Edmund is accepted as the only applicant. Meeting his new employer, Charlie; the two men bond easily. Disgusted at his new career and Vera using him, the janitor cries. Attempting to undo his mistake, he returns to find his institute burned down.

​Arriving to Nocte Nebula, the three sneak into the airvents of the university - watching Chris from overhead. Jumping down, the Mayor attempts to restrain them, only to find Nickey's bullet in his throat. Breaking the bracelets and carrying the girls out, Arianna notices three syringes - empty, with traces of blood. Taking a van from the parking garage, the two Powers wake Maya and Mina up, to their horror. Commanding the Bandana Man to return them to Novus Somnium, Juan reveals that he has other plans. Talking to them of the explosion being imminent, he convinces them of the city being the least safe place. Driving more as they talk, he reveals that they are headed for the airport.

2.12 - Winter Is Coming

In a time passed, Juan heads in search of a mysterious crystal. Meanwhile, tensions run high as Juan reveals his identity at the airport. Together, Noah & Vera work to find Darcy - as someone literally shakes the city of Novus Somnium.
