Series Two, Episode Six - A Second Crystal Uncovered (May 31, 2013)

​Brought violently before them by Darcy Jr., Darcy Sr. is met with a cold welcome from Stan, Letitia and the Sunlight Society. As he tries to introduce himself, young Darcy interrupts him with a speech about strength and leadership; brandishing his crystal. Explaining that holding it, once having it coated in Vera's blood, will infuse him with eternal life. Darcy Jr. says that capturing Vera is a priority. Returning to Novus Somnium with Stan & Letitia, Darcy enquires into the goals of the Society, and Letitia reveals it was formed to grant a life eternal to the one valiant enough to leave them. At the warehouse, Darcy speaks to a member of the Society, as he receives a message from Vera. The two discuss a plan, and Darcy Jr. states that a cold blooded murder is his only option. Left alone, the child repeats his ambitions to himself, fumbling the crystal.

​Having set a meeting with Darcy, Vera informs Charlie that they will meet in three nights in an old forest clearing. The two discussing a plan, she expresses her wish to know why he's hunting herself and Edmund. Suspiciously revealing she is headed to a school, the Mayor follows his ex-wife - as she enters Cityscape at lunchtime. As she meets up with a student, Charlie approaches the pair, introducing himself. Vera displays a sour mood at his interruption, as the child introduces himself as Noah. Hurrying them off site as Letitia appears, Noah explains that his meeting with Charlie was entirely a coincidence. Having a small conversation about Stan, Noah reminds Vera of her promise that she will recover his father's magical crystal. The former lovers leave, as Vera criticises him harshly. Discussing trust, she storms off. Upon their return, Vera locks herself in her room without a warning.

​Everyone still horrified over Julien's murder, Mina and Ari attempt to keep Kara's spirits high. As Maya and Nickey investigate the room, they discuss a possible culprit, and Maya incriminates Darcy Jr. Going into the woods of a park to bury their fallen, Kara and Mina break out into tears, as the Pop Princess promises the young Power protection. The five of them use their magic to search for other clues - turning up a torn piece of purple fabric. Discussing the idea that they have no possibilities, Arianna proposes going to the police. Maya invites Quinlan over, discussing the circumstances of the murder, while the Powers hide under the bed. Once again angering her father by interfering with the body, the woman breaks down upon his leave. Comforted by her cousins, Mina promises the other that she will personally bring the killer to his knees.

​Spending the evening at a bar with Edmund, the mayor brings up discussion of Vera's meeting. Revealing he has never seen or met Darcy Jr., the two men express concern, as a drink overhears them. Talking to them of a child who used to terrify his daughter, he tells a tale of Darcy's maniacal threatening to use magic on her. With swift thanks, they return to V and Edmund's lab. Charlie goes through her leftover items, as Edmund offers to search the computer. Finding a photo of Vera and a young boy, the two men discuss it - as the mayor reveals that the description reads 'Vera and Darcy, Dec 2009'. Worrying, they hurry to return to the house. Using Vera's computer, Edmund asks for Nickey and Arianna to come.

​Arriving the next day with Kara in tow, the Powers arrive with only Charlie there. As he hurries them inside, he speaks of Vera's plan, and that she has already left to make preparations. While the four speak of the urgency of the situation, Charlie reveals the photo - to which Ari identifies that it is indeed Darcy. Telling them of how pushy and fearful he can be, Arianna warns that Vera may be walking straight into Darcy's trap. Expressing a desire to know why they want Vera so much, Nickey proposes it should only be himself that goes to find her. Though Charlie does not agree, the Power snarkily offers to bring Maya along. Leaving, the three are told her meeting place and time - with a hug for Nickey and Arianna.

​Whispering to himself about the beginning of Operation Winter, Juan brandishes his bandana, and meets with Blue and White. As they discuss that the Asylum explosives are only a few months from being ready, Blue reveals another crystal - identical to Darcy's. The three speak of its ability to grant someone half-Powership once coated with the blood of a Power, under the age of ten, but they too discuss the risks - if either theirs or Darcy's crystal is touched by blood other than the required, death will infuse itself with the recipient. Knowing that the Sunlight Society do not yet know the risks, Juan leaves the two Black Bannermen. Arriving to a small bar on Decorus Luna's outskirts, Juan meets with the disguised mayor. Together, they discuss the crystal and how their plan has been months in the making. Revealing he knows of Nickey and Ari, the mayor asks the operative to retrieve them - saying he will offer them safe respite.

​On her bike, riding towards the clearing, Vera whispers to herself of her plan - Charlie warning it may have been a trap. Upon her arrival, she surveys the area - with no sight of Darcy. Suddenly, Darcy Sr. grabs Vera from behind, warning her to keep quiet, and that he will keep her safe. A minute too late, Darcy Jr. hides in the shadows of a small tree, revealing to other members that they are only minutes from eternal life. Walking on the forest track, Nickey and Maya quietly discuss what to do in an emergency. Met with magic from all directions as they enter the clearing, Darcy screams that their blood will "do just fine." Escaping with a knockback spell, the cousins reveal to Charlie Vera's absence. Angry, he warns Nickey that further failure will only earn him a trip back to the Asylum.
