"Is your mom better?" Hannah asked.
"Yes, she says she's been feeling better and it was just a little phase and the call I made wasn't necessary" Jocelyn replied holding hands with the visible Francis.
"So you two are a thing now? He's new and you just got back" Shawn asked.
Jocelyn made eye contact with Francis and smiled "yeah I know, we kinda are dating I guess" she replied looking at Shawn.
"And what the hell happened to your head?" Hannah asked.
"I slipped in the shower, don't touch!" Jocelyn replied shooing Hannah's approaching hand.
"The bell rang, we're late. Great" Hannah said, then ran off after waking good bye. Shawn went the other direction and Jocelyn and Francis took a left down the longest hall in the school.
"So say that the Foreshadowed get to me-"
"They won't" he interrupted.
"What would happen to me?" She finished.
"They'd end the prophecy from coming true, to kill you" he hesitated in shock but kept walking.
"Oh" Jocelyn said and hugged her books then looked down as if trying to be shy by your crush but also avoid him in case you messed up.
"I'm not gonna let him get you, can we just change the subject please?" Francis said annoyed.
"Yeah sure" Jocelyn replied then took a left into her class, he followed. She placed her books down on the table next to Francis. And awaited the boring day ahead of them.
"Feel better?" The King asked Caitlin and she nodded right away. When he had heard about her being depressed he wanted make sure she was safe. He may not get along with her very well but when it comes to depression, it can make you do stupid things and he lost his parents to suicide. Until then, when he heard one of his people get depression he went to the, and try to comfort them.
"I'm sorry" Caitlin said.
"For what if I may ask?"
She nodded "about your parents, and I appreciate you coming to give me some comfort and company" her hair that was in a ponytail moved as she shook her head "I don't understand why you did" she finished and looked down.
He lifted her chin and it made her hesitate when she saw how close he drew his face to hers, saw him look deep into her beautiful eyes. A smile appeared on his lips, Caitlin felt special, it wasn't easy to make the King smile "any time, I enjoy being by you sometimes, you make me feel, warm" Caitlin felt her cheeks get hot and could tell that he could tell she was blushing.
She raised her head and with hesitation, he gently kissed her. Caitlin felt as if he had held her and flew up into the sky.
"Mama? Are you home?" Jocelyn yelled when she walked into the house. Her mother rushed up the stairs from the basement with a bright smile on her face. Jocelyn's eyes went wide.
"Hi baby" she said and hugged her daughter.
"I see your feeling better, sorry I didn't come visit you, I had a lot of homework for school and Hannah made me make time for her for the week and then there's work" Jocelyn giggled a bit.
"Kay" Caitlin said and went into the kitchen to wash dishes. Jocelyn could tell that she thought of something and was smiling and she knew that smile.
"Something special happen today?"
"Yes! I came home feeling like I could fly, so what? I can change into a demon if you wish-"
"No!" Jocelyn yelled immediately.
Her mother chuckled at the thought of her making her daughter pee her pants.
"Jocelyn I think you should introduce me to your new friend, what was his name? Francis?"
Jocelyn froze "how did you-?"
"Hannah told me about him, she says that he shows that she cares about you and I don't know why but I believe him" Caitlin yawned "I'm tired, I'm gonna go take a nap, night" she said then walked to her room.
Jocelyn bolted for her room and quickly closed the door as Francis appeared "she knows about you-!" She started but was interrupted by Francis putting his hand over her mouth as he used his other hand to tell her to shush silently, when she realized she was basically screaming he removed his hand and nodded.
"I know she knows about me" he said softly.
Her eyes went wide, she'd never heard him talk so soft, never even thought it was possible for him "sorry about my dock, I told my mom that it needed to be repaired because I broke it" she looked up at him shyly.
"It's ok, but there was something I forgot to do" he placed his hand gently on her cheek. Her heart raced knowing what he had forgotten. He leaned down and pressed his lips against hers, soft and gentle. Jocelyn saw flashbacks, saw visions. She kept coming back to reality, then his mind, like a glitch on and off.
She saw his past, his feelings for her, what he wanted to do to her which made her nervous and somewhat uncomfortable. But she knew he loved her, and she knew that she loved him. The kiss broke and it was like electricity between them. They made eye contact, Jocelyn felt her cheeks go red and she cursed herself for it.
"Always?" She asked.
He smiled and nodded "always" he replied and she led him to the bed.
