Francis rushed out of his tent and others burst into flames. He ran toward a few women who held a piece of cloth to their nose and mouth and asked "are you alright?"
"Yeah, we're okay. About two dozen Forsaken attacked the camps a few miles up north. They went straight toward the cabin where the king slept. I don't know anything else, they might not even be there much longer" one of the girls replied.
He looked ahead and saw at lease three hundred Forsaken. The war horn went off. He now knew that he war had begun.

"You do know you'd be able to feel if he died or not" Adrianna said.
"I know but I haven't felt anything like that since Tulip was born. Of course I already knew about that" Jocelyn rubbed an eye.
"Time for bed" Adrianna gently placed Tulip in her crib then looked back at Jocelyn with her hands at her sides.
"But mom!"
"No buts, now off to bed" she chuckled.
Jocelyn hugged her and went off to her room. When she changed and closed her eyes once in bed, she started to dream from someone's POV. But it wasn't just someone, it was Francis fighting Forsaken.
This had to be real. She remembered Gryff say he was taken care of but he's the biggest bluffer ever.
But then it was like she teleported to him and she was herself, in her pajamas in the middle of a war with no weapon. Her face went red. Francis looked at her and ran toward her, he wrapped her in his arms and kissed her. The kiss broke quickly as he took out a weapon and moved it up and down her. Her pajamas changed into armor, he handed her the weapon.
"Francis! What's its powers name?"
"It's name is Jonathan" he said and went back to fighting.
She had remember her training with him, she started fighting also. Dodging claws and weapons, kicking them to the ground and piercing her sword in their chest. The air filled with smoke and already rotting corpses. Of course she had no idea how she got there but it startled and yet amazed her. Then she remembered her mysterious powers and it had to have been one of them. But why did it never work before. Maybe because she was worried and frightened for the sake of her Zieo.
Jocelyn had learned that when a Chaos is with a child, their powers fade until the child is born. Which explains why she couldn't do it before.
Francis had Jocelyn's back, and she had his. Jocelyn looked past the Forsaken and saw Gryff retreat the other direction from where she was looking. "Francis! I have to go after him!"
"I'll come with you!"
"No! You gotta stay here and help everyone else, I'll be okay, I promise" she said knowing that that promise may not last long if things don't go well. She fought her way to make a path to get to him, after a few minutes which felt like a few hours, she got to the top of the hill where Gryff last stood. She could see castle Dumort from a distance.
There was a yell but she couldn't hear and didn't react in time, a force of strong hands pushed into her and she toppled down the hill. Her armor fill with mud as she tried hard to keep her weapon in her hand. She looked on top of the hill and saw Francis smiling down at her. He did it so she could save time, she got back up in mud and he went back to fighting.
She ran as fast as she could to the castle, without slipping a few times. She fought Forshadowed at the gate entrance and finally made it to the main doors.
She breathed in air, tilted her head a bit and kicked the doors open. Three Forsaken and two Foreshadowed dashed toward her. She jumped into the air so they ran outside, she landed before they could turn around and get back inside before she slammed the doors just and blocked it with a thick wooden board.
"Stupid bastards" she muttered and ran up the grand stairs and went silent. She heard chanting which told her she didn't wanna go that way and it could be a trick.
Confused, after looking around, an entrance to spiral stairs going up came into view. She ran and skipped a step as she made her way to the top. Castle Dumprt was huge with two towers that ended the side. The stairs must've led to the main room that was connected by them and surely she was right.
After putting on another layer of armor, horror filled her eyes when she saw Gryff kneeling on the floor, drinking blood from someone. "No!" She yelled so loud that the force of her breath pushed forward, pushing Gryff to the other end of the room.
Jocelyn ran to see who the body was, and she let out a scream. Caitlin laid there weakly, her eyes close to being empty "Mama!" Jocelyn yelled as she kneeled beside her dying mother and quickly tried to heal her with her sword. She had started but a strong force hit her face which made her fly back.
The pain was unbearable, it made her whimpers Gryff got closer to her. He lifted her chin with a disgusting smile smeared in blood. Jocelyn looked at him in the eyes when she felt blood running from her nose and eventually meeting the line of her mouth which made her lips started to dry.
"I told you that I would kill you when I got my hands on you" he said. His voice was deeper than usual, almost a satanic voice.
He swung his hand across with full force that she could see his whole arm swing back. She forcably stood up and kicked him in the chest when she jumped toward him. She was now on the other side of her mother and Gryff landed in the wall, which cracked horribly.
"You...will be the-the one....dying! Not me!" Her voice cracked.
"Oh yeah? Give it your best shot bitch" he said.
She yelled as she ran toward him and tried to kick him harder, but he blocked every kick and eventually got a shot to his head and he fell to the ground and gaged on blood.
Gryff let out a yell as he ran toward her, grabbed her wrist and ankle and threw her toward a few steps that led to a mirror and a bathtub. She hit her head on the edge of the step and let out a scream. After hearing the crack, she knew her head was open and blood poured out, fast. She was slowly losing consciousness but got to her feet when Gryff made way to her.
She nearly fell until his hand was firmly under her chin and pushed her up the floor and against the wall. After a minute he punched her stomach and let her go, he lifted the sword from her hand and made a movement of getting ready to strike "Francis" she whimpered, his hands went up and she squeezed her eyes shut "I love you" she whispered.
Her world went black.
