The kiss broke and he looked deep into her green/blue eyes. "Francis I-" he cut her off.
"Jocelyn, I'm so sorry I didn't get you sooner. I didn't think, I searched everywhere for you but I couldn't risk being seen in the castle since you were probably guarded well".
"It's fine, you'd be no help if you got captured too. I'm not saying your no help but- you know what I mean" she smiled but it quickly faded and looked at her stomach "I can't believe I'm have a baby, I don't know what Gryff did to him/her besides making there growth rate faster, I just don't want it to live a horrible life, oh! The Doc said he knew if it's a boy or girl and I said I wanted to wait until I was with you to find out".
He nodded "ok, let's go find him" he wrapped her hand in his and led her down to the hallway once they left the library.
Once the doctor was in sight he paused when Francis called his name and smiled "it's good to see that you both are doing well. I assume you ran after me to tell you the gender?" They nodded "I thought so, well congratulations you both are having a girl" he said.
Jocelyn's eyes lit up and her face went filled with joy as she looked at Francis who also looked excited and they hugged each other. The doctor walked away as Jocelyn laughed and covered her mouth as she started to cry tears of joy. "Oh my god this is wonderful!" She exclaimed.
Caitlin rushed through the door "what? What's the matter?"
"Mom! We're having a girl!" Caitlin's eyes lit up and she hugged Jocelyn with excitment.
"That's great Jocelyn, really" she said.
After maybe an hour Francis helped Jocelyn to her hospital room and set her on the bed "only a day or two until I get to feel the pain of birth, the doctor said he couldn't notice anything unusual besides her growth right?"
"Yes I think so, I'm just scared, I hope it doesn't affect her after she's born" Francis replied softly.
"We should think of what to name her since we only have two days".
He nodded "Peony?"
"Ashelynn?" Jocelyn liked that name but she'd rather not have a daughter who's name is similar with her own.
"Faye? Oh no how about Tulip!"
"Oh, yeah I like Tulip although I've never heard of a kid named Tulip but it's cute" Jocelyn agreed.
"The meaning of tulips is generally perfect love. Different colors of tulips also often carry their own significance. Red tulips are most strongly associated with true love, while purple symbolizes royalty. The meaning of yellow tulips has evolved somewhat, from once representing hopeless love to now being a common expression for cheerful thoughts and sunshine. White tulips are used to claim worthiness or to send a message of forgiveness" Francis said.

"Wow really? How do you know all that?"
"I used to study flowers when I was in school, I was a pro at flowers when I turned ten. But I was thinking since your hair is somewhat reddish orangish and mine is black she'd have like dark curly red hair" he smiled which made her feel warm.
"She might" she smiled back.
Jocelyn could imagine her daughter having red curly hair, everyday when she looked in her eyes she would see Francis which made her look forward to it, if Tulip doesn't have red or curly hair she'd still feel the same.
"I'm excited to meet you" Jocelyn said while looking down, her hands on her baby bump.
"I need to go find Crawford and the brothers" Francis bent down and kissed his baby "take care of mommy while I'm gone" he said then left the room.
Jocelyn started to wonder if Francis would think that she would forgive him when there was nothing to forgive about, started to wonder if they could win this battle and have their baby grow up to be a successful adult and maybe even a wonderful mother and partner.
The room got dark which made Jocelyn nervous and have her arms wrapped around her stomach as if she was protecting it from someone, something was off.
A voice whispered her name which made her jump. It said her name again "what do you want?" She asked. It chuckled and a figure appeared in front of the door and locked it then faced her.
"Jocelyn" Gryff stood there with a jerkish smile.
She opened her mouth to scream but in one swift move his around was around her mouth and held a knife to her stomach "it's not born yet so it can still die" he said "can I trust you not to scream? I just wish to talk".
She nodded, she was not letting her guard down but she never has.
"You lied to me about the baby being your" she said once his hand was removed and he stepped away from her.
He nodded "yes it was a lie, I figured it would make you go insane and make you kill your self but I see that didn't work much".
"That a stupid thing to think, will the thing you give me affect her growth when she's born?" Then she gasped, she didn't want Gryff to know she was have a baby girl.
"Aaaaah it's girl" he clapped his hands together and made the position of a little girl excited and trying to be sweet "congratulations, it gives me something to look forward to in the future" he went silent and serious.
Jocelyn pulled out the silver knife in her waste belt "if you live long enough for the future" she said then his smile went to a frown, she flung the knife at him. He must've gotten stronger, but in a swift motion which was a blur, she felt a sharp pain in the lower side of her back and then she knew that she fucked up.
