Jocelyn looked and into the beautiful blue eyes of her new baby girl, her daughter. Thanks to the support of the love of her life and the women who gave her life, she had hope that things would get better. But Gryff still posed as a threat.
"We need to ward off the entire house, use some from our room if you must. I don't want Foreshadowed, Forsaken or the brothers getting into the house and hurting my family" Francis said to Michael who then nodded and walked out.
"He's still gonna find a way to get in Francis" Jocelyn said.
"I don't care if we have to risk all our lives to kill him, it's worth trying to protect you and Tulip" he said.
I'm worth it?
"I'll be back-" the door burst open.
Crawford stood there, starring in terror at Francis "we apparently have a traitor, that's what I've been missing. It seems we told someone who knows all our plans and has been spying on Jocelyn" he said.
"What? Who? How do you know all this?" Francis asked in disbelief.
"Brother Zacharia told us, he's been helping Gryff. It's their law that if one must be a traitor, the one helping must warn the enemy" Crawford got serious and if Caitlin wasn't there, Francis would be on the ground.
"That doesn't make a lot of sense, it's like playing into each other's hands. That must be frustrating for 'em" Jocelyn said.
You've no idea a voice said in their heads, it was brother Zacharia.
Jocelyn giggled at his comment but the way he said it was funny and sounded sarcastic. Everyone noticed that Tulip's growth hasn't been affected, yet but of course Tulip wasn't even three hours old. Maybe she was, Jocelyn never payed attention to the time since last week.
"When can I get outta this fu-" she was cut off.
"Little ears are present Jocelyn" Caitlin said.
"Outta this flipping bed?" She finished.
"Too soon to tell, your wound still has to heal a bit more" Doc said.
"It feels fine though, I thought it already healed" she was confused.
He shook his head "nope, remember this all happened within a week or so and you were wounded about a day or two after Francis saved you. It's frustrating but doing those actions, would be fatal" the doctor excused himself and walked out.
"If you want I can bring her crib in here" Francis said once everyone else left.
"No that's fine, I'll be outta here in no time" Jocelyn smiled at him.
"He's still a threat to us Jocelyn, who knows what he's planning next".
"You don't think I don't already know that? Whatever happens, I won't let him win".
Two days later
"It's time!" Gryff yelled at his army of other Forsaken soldiers. It didn't take long with Jocelyn's blood to create more of his kind, they were indestructible. The surprise attack would make all Chaos weak since they aren't expecting it. He lifted his sword forward and everyone marched through the portal to the Chaos.
That night
"Jocelyn! We need to go! Now!" Francis yelled waking her up.
"Francis ssh! What's wrong?" She asked immediately.
"He's coming, Gryff. He's made more Forsaken, I don't know how this is possible but I need to get you and Tulip out of here, out of town, hell maybe even out of this world!" He responded and picked up Tulip gently and handed her to Jocelyn then started packing things. The baby bag with food and bottles, diapers, clothes for the three of them, blankets.
"Francis I'm not leaving!" Jocelyn demanded.
"The hell you are!"
"Do you really expect me to leave my family here? My mom? Crawford?"
"They can handle themselves" he replied.
"But they need all the help they can get!"
"That's why I'm coming back once I'm done getting you safe".
"No your not, I won't let you" Jocelyn was going to lose it.
"Look, Jocelyn I love you but I just really need you to shut up right now and trust me, we can talk about it when you two are safe" Francis referred to Tulip.
Jocelyn said nothing further and listened to him. He was right, they could finish the argument later but one step at a time.

By the time Francis took Jocelyn and their daughter plus all the things he packed, he flew them to earth, got them in the car and took off. They were far out of the country within half a day.
This was all happening so past it was like her life was flying past her eyes. All this was stressful, she couldn't take it any more. She couldn't stand that she had a daughter within two weeks, almost got a punctured lung and died and not Francis was running away with them. Jocelyn curled up in a ball in the car "so where we going?" Jocelyn asked looking over the drivers seat.
"Italy, my dad used to live there before he decided to become Chaos" Francis replied ignoring her eye contact.
"You never told me about who your father was before he changed" she admitted.
"I'm not having the conversation with you right now".
"Why? Besides him hurting his family what was more worse than that? I understand that can mess you up but I feel that there's more to it than just that, something else he must've done made you so defensive about it" now she wanted to know.
"Just leave it alone alright?" He yelled which made her gasp, she said nothing more and went back to daydreaming out the window. "I'll tell you when I get you settled in, we have like ten minutes until we get to the city and another five to the house" he finally broke the silence.
"I haven't noticed Tulip growing fast, have you?"
He shook his head "no not really" he replied.
"Good, how big is this house?"
"Big enough, modern. I haven't been in that house since I changed, which was a long time ago. My mother thought of it as a haven, he would never hurt any of us while we were there and to this day we don't know why. Must be some traditional house or something, Michael lives there with his girlfriend Adriana just to warn you. From what I've heard though nothing's changed, not even my baby room" Francis rubbed an eye.
"Do you want me to drive?"
"No, we're almost there. Then I'm gonna have Adriana get Tulip outta the car while I help you" he replied. And so he did. Jocelyn was exhausted and fell asleep in his arms as he carried her in the house, up the stairs, down lots of long halls and into the last room on the left. He set her gently on the bed as she got ready to let go, but she didn't.
He didn't care either, he sat on the bed still holding her then laid down. She felt like a child in a mother's arms and she'd never felt that before, that she could remember anyway. They both laid there, silently, with heavy breathing in deep sleeping.
