Adams POV:
I went back up to my room where my valet Smith was waiting.Smith: How was your day my lord?
Adam: It was very nice thank you Smith, how was yours? Did you see your room?
Smith: I did my lord and it seems that it will very nice during our stay here.
Adam: Good good.
Smith: If you don't mind my asking my lord who were you with today?
Adam: Oh Lady Mary, we had a very lovely walk around the gardens, very pleasent.
Smith: I'm glad my lord.
Adam: What did you do today?
Smith: I got to know the house a little bit and settled myself in, put all of your clothes away and met all of the other servents.
Adam: Do they seem nice?
Smith: Yes my lord, I especially like this fellow abates, he is Lord Grandthans valet, very sharp and funny, seems very nice.
Adam: Well I shall have to meet all of them.
I smile back at Smith as he finishes brushing off my dinner jacket.
Adam: Well Smith do I look ready?
Smith: Very nice my lord.
Adam: Good, then I shall go downstairs, wish me luck.
I smile at Smith one last time and then head of the door.
I walk down the stairs and walk into the sitting room where everyone else is waiting to go into the dining room.
Robert: Ah! Adam, we are almost ready to go into the dining room, I hope that Mary did not ware you out too much today.
He laughs and I laugh.
Adam: Not at all not at all we had a very lovely time indeed.
I look over at Mary and see her smiling at me.
Carson: My lord dinner is ready
Robert: Thank you Carson
And with that we all walked into the dining room and took our respective seats.
Corra: So Adam, what is it that you do for recreation?
Adam: I ride mostly but I do like to tinker around with things from time to time.
Sybil: How fascinating, what do you like to tinker with exactly?
Adam: Well I really love clocks, my uncle used to take me into town and we would by a run down old grandfather clock and we would take it back to his place and we would as he would put it, "Bring it back to life."
Edith: That is so wonderful! Giving something another chapter, another chance.
I nod and smile.
Adam: Big please enough about me, what about all of you, what do you guys like to do in your free time?
Robert: Well we pretty much do the typical thing, ride, hunt and read the paper and books.
Adam: Well it sounds like you all have a very lovely life.
Mary: Bit yours sounds a lot more interesting then ours, I wish I new more about clocks, we have this big beautiful one on the hall that could probably use a little tuning.....maybe I could show you later.
I smile at Mary and then continue eating my dinner.
