No ones POV:
It was a beautiful morning at Downton Abbey, everything was business as usual.  The servents were just getting up and preparing everything while family slept on.

At about 8 o'clock sharp the family started to wake up starting with Lord Grandtham and his beloved dog Isis.  Then going on to Lady Grandtham who would take her breakfast in bed.

Then there were their four beautiful daughters.  There was the eldest Mary at the age of 26, the Edith age 24, the Sybil age 20 and then the youngest Jane at the age of 16.

Lord Grandtham had made his way down to the dining room and began gathering his breakfast and then sitting down with his paper like always as his daughters one by one came down all dressed and ready for the day.

Mary: Good morning Papa.

Lord Grandtham: Good morning my darlings.

One by one they all gave him a kiss on the cheek as they took their places at the table.

Edith: Is Matthew coming down today?

Lord Grandtham: He said he might try to stop in but their are no promises, he says he is very busy at his law office.

Mary: You don't sound too pleased.

Lord Grandtham: Well I want him to learn how to run the estate properly and he can't very well do that when he is working in a law office all day during the week.

Sybil: Really Papa, I think it's great that Matthew has a proper job, it must be nice to have somewhere to go everyday.

Lord Grandtham: Hmm

The girls look at their father and smile at his annoyance, meanwhile Lady Grantham is taking her breakfast in bed, as all married women do.

Lady Grandtham: Thank you for bringing up breakfast O'Brian it was delicious, please send my compliments to Mrs Patmore.

O'Brian: Will do my lady, is there anything else you will be needing?

Lady Grandtham: No that will be all O'Brian thank you.

O'Brian makes her way back down to the stairs where all of the other servents are enjoying their breakfast.

Thomas: How was he Ladyship this morning?

O'Brian: She seemed in good spirits, why do you ask?

Thomas: I'm just making friendly conversation that's all.

O'Brian: How were the girls this morning Anna?  Any trouble or gossip better yet?

Anna: Well of course Lady Mary was talking of Mr Matthew again, Lady Edith is still trying to get at her, Lady Sybil is bored, and of course Lady Jane dosnt have a care in the world.

O'Brian: I envy that one.

Carson: And what "that one" are you referring to Ms O'Brian?

O'Brian: I was only referring to Lady Jane Me Carson.

Carson: Then you will kindly refer to her as such.

Mr Carson walks out of the room in a huff and everyone continues eating their breakfast.

Back upstairs the family is still eating their breakfast and talking happily to one another, as family's often do.

Lord Grandtham: So, what do the four of you have going on today?

Edith: I'm sure Mary is going to try to "hook" Matthew.

Lord Grandtham: Edith it is much to early for your sarcastic comments.

Edith looks away and rolls her eyes.

Mary: Before Edith rudely interrupted I was going to say that I was going to take a little stroll in the gardens, I don't often do and I don't have any plans, so there you have it.

Lord Gradtham: Ah, and the rest of you?

Edith: I was just going to run into town for a little bit and look at the new frocks that they just got in.

Sybil: I was going to go post a telegram to Mamas frock maker.

Lord Grandtham: Whatever for?

Sybil: Well it's my turn for a new frock but she is not back from London yet and says she won't be for sometime so I just want to ask when she will be back is all.

Lord Grandtham nods his head and then turns his attention to his youngest daughter.

Lord Grandtham: What about you my darling Jane?  You have been very quiet this morning, not at all like you, do you have anything planned for today?

Jane: Not particularly, I was just planning on sitting in the library and catching up on some reading.

Mary: On nonsense, you have done enough reading, a girl your age should go out exploring!  Why don't you come and walk around the gardens with me and we can have sister time?

Edith: Oh I'm sure she would much rather pick out a frock with me, come on it would be fun, we could try some on.

Sybil: Well, my day is not that exciting but I would love it if you would come along.

The three older girls were always wanting to spend time with their youngest sister, they were very protective of her and longed to be her favorite.

Lord Grandtham and the three older girls leaned forward in anticipation as the young girl looked to be deciding how to spend her day.

Jane: Well, I have not much been in the gardens.

A huge smile creeped along Mary's mouth, she had won.

Mary: Excellent!  We shall go this afternoon and have Thomas bring our tea out to us, it will be splendid.

And then Lord Grandtham and his four daughters continued on eating their breakfast making small talk here and there.
