Janes POV:
The next morning I went down to breakfast and found I was the last to arrive.  As I walked by Papa I gave him a kiss on the cheek and then took my place next to Sybil who smiled at me.

Lord Grandtham: Good morning my darling, are you feeling better after last night?

I looked at him in confusion

Sybil: Yes are you feeling better after your headache?

I saw a look in Sybil's face which seemed to say, I'm covering for you so don't say anything stupid.

I nod in response

Jane: Why yes Papa I am, thank you, how was the rest of the dinner after I went up?

Lord Grandtham: You know the same as it always is, Mama says something from the 1400s Isebelle disputes it and then we go on with our light chatter.

Mary: Poor Granny, she's not used to being challenged.

Edith: Well I don't think Cousin Isabelle is either, they are evenly matched I'd say.

We all smile and laugh

*******Meanwhile in the servants hall********
No ones POV:
Everything was going as usual, the footman were polishing and getting plates ready, the ladies maids were sewing and buffering, and the cook and the kitchen makes were preparing the next meal of the day.

Carson: As you all know in a few days time we will be visited by Lord Redmond, he is a very important guest and we will make sure that his visit is a pleasent one and I don't want to see anything go awry.

Everyone nods and then goes back to their work.

Daisy: It will be exciting to have an important lord in the house won't it?

Mrs. Patmore: What's it to you?  You won't ever so much as set eyes on him the entire time he is here.

Daisy: But still don't you think it's exciting!?

William: I sure do, it's always interesting to have someone of great importance in the house to wait on.

Thomas: He is no more important then anyone else.

Ms. O'Brian: Right you are.

*******Back Upstairs********
No ones POV:
The family was sitting in the sitting room, Lady Hrandtham was knitting, Lord Grandtham was reading the news paper and the girls were all caught up in their own thing.

Lord Grandtham: Girls you do know that Lord Redmond is coming for a visit?

All of the girls nod and continue on what they were doing.

Lady Grandtham: How do you know him again darling?

Lord Grandtham: I met him a few years back while I was in London visiting my sister, he was a very nice chap I thought, and he is very important as well.

Lady Grandtham: I have no objection I was just wondering why him.  So when does he arrive?

Lord Grandtham: In a few days time, so we must all be ready, won't we girls?

They all nod

*********A few days later********
No ones POV:
A few days later the house had been cleaned and polished and everyone was wearing their best attire, a great feast had been prepared and all of the servants were getting ready to line up outside to greet the important visitor.

A few minutes later everyone was lined up outside as the car pulled up in the driveway.

Everyone waited for Lord Redmond to step out of the car, the girls especially were waiting with baited breath.

Once he stepped out the girls all gawked, he was beautiful, blonde hair, light blue eyes, and very well built.  He walked up towards the family and passed all the Bowing servants.

Lord Grandtham: My dear fellow, welcome, I am so glad that you could make it.

Lord Redmond: Lord Grandtham it is too kind of you to host me here, your house is more beautiful then words can say, and this must be the lovely Lasy Grandtham.

Lady Grandtham: Lord Redmond, welcome, so glad you could make it, I hope your journey was alright.

Lord Redmond: Very enjoyable my Lady.

Lady Grabdthsm: And these are our daughters, Mary, Edith, Sybil and our youngest Jane.

Lord Redmond walked up to them all and kissed them on the hand.

Lord Redmond: Well once again I thank you all for having me and please, I would like you all to call me Adam if you would.

They all nod and smile and then walk inside.
