Janes POV:
After I left Adam in the library I hurried upstairs to read my books in peace. I will give him one thing though, he is very determined. I'm not exactly sure why he wants to get to know me while my gorgeous sisters are practically fighting over him all the time but how am I to know what goes on inside a mans head. For the rest of the afternoon I read thankfully undiserbed that is until the dressing gong rings which then I have only a matter of minutes until Anna comes swooping in.
Right on time Anna comes in with my dinner attire along with my sisters, it was a tradition of ours to go into the sisters room who is changing last and gossip, it used to be my favorite tradition, that is until the center of that gossip became me.
After a few minutes of Anna fussing about getting me dressed and getting my hair pinned up we all started talking while Anna was putting the finishing touches on my dinner attire.
Anna: Did you all have a lovely day in town?
Edith: Quiet enjoyable, I think that Adam Lord Redmond was quiet impressed in my history lesson.
Mary: Oh please, he was more ink pressed when Jane corrected you.
Jane: I continue to tell you that it was only the correct date, Edith gave all the hard facts.
Sybil: I think that he rather enjoyed the whole day with everyone.
Anna: Where did you take him?
Edith: To the old mill, some of my favorite churches and just around the farm houses.
Anna: Sounds lovely.
Mary: I only wish that Jane would have spoken more during the day.
Anna: Why didn't you talk me lady?
Jane: No particular reason, I just wasn't in a very energetic mood that's all, there is nothing else in it.
Mary: If you say so.
Sybil: Oh leave her alone.
At that we all walked down to the dining room where all the men were waiting to sit.
Granny: So, I hear you all had a little trip into town today.
Papa: Yes, it was rather enjoyable, I do hope we haven't worn you out Adam.
Adam: On the contrary I found it quite relaxing.
Granny: I should think so, coming from London where you are forced to press elbow to elbow with unfortunates.
Papa: Really mama the city isn't so bad.
Granny: Well then you can spend your summers there, I quite prefer it here thank you.
Adam: I was quite impressed by Edith's knowledge of the village history, it was like she swallowed a history book.
Mary: Well, that is until Jane corrected a rather embarrassing mistake of hers.
Granny: Oh, and what mistake was that.
Jane: I would rather not discuss it any further if the rest of you don't mind, Edith is far more knowledgeable then myself.
Mary: Not likely.
Mama: Girls please, lets not bore Adam with our family squabbles.
And with that the rest of the dinner was quite quiet, it was the most quiet it has been in a long time.
