Janes POV:
I have been cooped up in my room for three days now and to my surprise have actually been rather enjoying it. I get to read my books without complaints from the others and for the most part, besides someone checking up on me ever half hour or so, I have been left alone. As if on cue Sybil walks in and sits on my bed and smiles at me.
Jane: What are you smiling about?
Sybil: Just you, in your natural habitat.
Jane: And what might that be?
Sybil: Sitting alone reading, I'm sure you've read almost half your library by now.
Jane: Oh don't be silly, only half of a half.
I get a chuckle out of Sybil who then pulls the rope on the side of my bed.
Jane: What are you doing?
Sybil: Ringing for Anna so she can bring us some tea.
Anna enters.
Anna: You rang for me Lady Jane?
Sybil: Actually I did Anna.
Anna: And how can I be of service?
Sybil: Just wondering if we may have some tea?
Anna: Very good my lady.
A short while later Anna bustles in with a hot pot of tea and two China glasses.
Jane: Thank you Anna.
She nods and smiles and walks out.
Jane: So, why did you want to have tea in my room?
Sybil looks at me guiltily.
Jane: What?
Sybil: I have a problem, I think you'll be the only one to not respond harshly to what I'm about to say.
Jane: This build up is making me nervous.
Sybil: I believe, Branson has certain....feelings towards me.
Jane: Branson......the driver?
Sybil: I know it's silly.
Jane: I THINK ITS BRILLIANT! You're breaking down barriers!
Sybil: I don't know that I feel the same way though! And think about what the others will say! Think of Papa and Granny!
Jane: I do shudder at that thought, but they don't need to know yet, not until your sure.
Sybil nods and considers this.
Sybil: I knew you were the right person to tell.
She presses her forehead to mine and we both smile and finish our tea.
