Janes POV:
It's been two weeks now and I am finally aloud out of my room. Which is not necessarily a good thing, now I'll be forced to hold conversations and not be allowed to curl up with my books.

The only good news is that Mama has announced that's she's pregnant! Everyone is so excited about it! Just think, a baby in the house again! Which means that I won't be the youngest anymore! Thank heavens!  I walk downstairs rather clumsily and see that everyone but mama is eating breakfast.

Papa: Ah Jane my darling, good morning.

Jane: Morning papa, morning Mary, morning Sybil, morning Edith.

Mary: Good morning my little darling.

Edith: Morning Jane.

Sybil: Morning Janey.

I give them all a kiss on the cheek and sit down to eat my breakfast eggs and kippers.

Jane: How's mama feeling?

Papa: A bit but alright I think.

Jane: Good, I was thinking about running down to the village and getting some of her favorite chocolates.

Papa: That's a very nice idea Jane, but you're not going alone, why don't one of you girls go with her.

I sigh, again I'm being treated like a child, I should have expected this after being thrown from my horse.  It's just going to get worse.

Sybil: Would you mind if I came along Janey?

I nod a muster up my best smile.  After breakfast I grab my hat with the white ribbons on the sides and Sybil and I head out.

Sybil's POV:

After breakfast Jane and I head down to the village, I'm glad to her some time with her, I feel like I barely see her at all anymore since she was thrown.  We slowly walk down the hill from the house chatting.

Sybil: What did you have in mind for mama?

Jane: Well she is very fond of those little dark chocolates with the raspberry creme in the center, maybe a box of those?

I smile and nod.

Sybil: That sounds lovely, maybe we could get a yellow ribbon to go around the box, make it look more like a gift.

She smiles and we continue to walk into town.  Once there we walk into the sweet shop and Jane immediately starts to look around, she really was a kid in a candy store.  Jane didn't often act her age of sixteen so when she does it's always a treat for the people around.

I see her pick out a box of raspberry chocolates as well as several more boxes of various other sweets for the servants.  Afterwords we head to the wrapping store and pick out a rather large yellow ribbon to go around the box.  We walk back to the house in silence.

Sybil: Thank you for letting me tag along darling, now, why don't you run upstairs and give mama her gift.

Janes smiles a broad smile a runs up the stairs to mamas room.

Janes POV:

I rush up to mamas room, gift in hand.  I knock and enter and I see mama lounging in her chair reading.

Jane: Hello mama.

She looks up and has a smile on her face.

Mama: Jane darling, what are you doing up here?

Jane: I have a surprise for you.

I walk over and hand her the box.

She smiles and opens it revealing the chocolates and gives me a kiss on the cheek and a hug.

Mama: Oh Jane darling, thank you so much, this is very sweet, but I don't think I could possibly eat all of these by myself.

She gives me a mischievous grin and I grin right back.  We spend the next hour eating the sweets and talking.  After I left mama to rest I decided to walk down to the kitchens where the servants were having lunch on.

I walk down with the boxes of sweets and see them all chatting happily and eating however, the second Carson saw me he stood up and the others followed, this was followed by a chorus of squeaking from the chairs.

Jane: I'm so sorry to interrupt your lunch in but I just got back from the village and I brought you all a box of sweets and wanted to give them to you in person.

Mr. Carson: You are not interrupting in the slightest Lady Jane, it's always a pleasure to receive a visit from you.

I smile and go around the table and give out the sweet boxes.  When I got to Thomas he gave me a very big smile.  Mama, Papa and my sisters never much cared for him but I always liked him.

Jane: I got you those lemon drops you used to give to me as a girl, I hope you like them.

Thomas: Thank you Lady Jane, that's very kind of you, I'll enjoy them immensely.

I smile and then continue around until all the sweet boxes are handed out.

Jane: Again, sorry for interrupting but I hope you all enjoy the sweets.

They all smile at me and I smile back and head back upstairs.

Thomases POV:

After Lady Jane left we all opened our boxes and I saw that in mind there we several boxes of lemon drops and a few fruit tarts with a little note,

I hope these brighten up your day as you did me when I was a child.
Love,
    Jane

I smiled and popped a lemon drop in my mouth.  Everyone was happily eating their treats and talking.

William: I can't believe that Lady Jane got each of us a box of sweets, it's so thoughtful.

Mr. Carson: She's always been a sweet girl, always caring more about others then herself.

Carson popped a chocolate in his mouth and smiled.

Mrs. Hughes: Mr. Carson, dare I say is that a smile I see.

Carson quickly tries to hide his shy smile but is unsuccessful.  The rest of the afternoon we spend eating and chatting happily, and I spend it eating my lemon drops and smiling.
