Adams POV:
After breakfast Robert, Matthew and I went for a walk around the grounds so Robert could show us his work and what still needs to be done. We started at the farm houses which were in better shape then I thought they would be, but Robert still insisted that there was lots more to be done.Matthew: Robert, I really think these houses are in fine shape, I really think our focus would be better else where. Don't you agree Adam?
Adam: I do. I mean Robert, I think that your focus would be better used on the pens that are used for the animals, one week link in the chain and you could have missing livestock everywhere. And that will set you back more then some chipped paint.
Robert seems to consider this as we walk on through the grassy fields surrounding the grand house. Just as we are about to return to the house for tea, a clomping of hooves stops us in our tracks.
Adam: You see Robert?
Robert: No, it's not a pig it's....Janes horse.....
Matthew: Well then where's Jane?
Without having to communicate to one another we simple sprint off in the direction the horse came from, desperately searching for Jane. We split up in different directions. After searching for a few minutes I see Jane lying on the grass with blood on her clothes and her foot swollen.
Adam: I FOUND HER!
I hear Robert and Matthew running up the hill where they see me cradling Janes limp form. They both kneel down.
Robert: Oh my dearest one, what did you do?
Robert says this while stroking her hair.
Matthew: We have to get her to Dr. Clarkson.
Adam: I'll carry her.
Robert: I'll go with them, Matthew why don't you run down to the house and inform everyone of what's happened.
Matthew nods and runs at full speed towards the house while Robert and I run into town as fast as our legs could carry us.

Matthews POV:
I ran to the house as fast I could. I run into the library where mother, cousin Violet, Cora and the girls are already sitting down for tea.Mary: Matthew! For heaven sakes what's the matter!? You are whiter then a sheet!
Matthew: It's Jane. She took a tumble off her horse.
I see all their faces turn a sickly white color.
Mary: Where is she now!?
Matthew: Your father and Adam have taken her to Dr. Clarkson.
Cora: I'll ring for Branson.
A few minutes later Branson arrives and we all jump into the car and ride to the hospital. Once there we all rush inside to see curtain closed around a bed and Robert and Adam sitting in chairs just outside said curtains.
Cora: What happened!? How is she!? Is she awake!?
Robert: Cora darling, we know no more then you. We are waiting for Dr. Clarksons opinion.
What seemed like eternity later Dr. Clarkson steps out from behind the curtain with a few blood stains on his white coat.
Edith: How is she!?
Dr. Clarkson: She'll be alright, she's sleeping now. She does however have a very serious cut on the back of her head and a severely crushed foot.
Sybil: May we see her?
Dr. Clarkson: Yes, by all means.
We all walk through the curtains and see Jane with bandages surrounding her head and a cast on her right foot.
Cora: Oh my poor baby! How did this happen!?
Mary: That is an excellent question! Jane is a superb rider! She's never been thrown before! Not to mention Velvet is very trained!
Matthew: We just heard some rustling in the bushes followed by Velvet, we figured something was wrong so we went to take a look and Adam found Jane lying on the ground.
I look to see Cora reach out her hand to Adam.
Cora: Thank you! Thank you so much! Who knows what might have happened if you hadn't found her!
I see Adam give a small smile.
We all stay at the hospital for a little while until finally we all agree to let just the immediate family stay with her. So me, mother and Adam all return to the house where we will await anymore news.
