In the last few days, Cal worked to get me familiar with some more modern things. We listened to more music, watching some movies and TV shows, and baked more pies. We hadn't really left the house much since he was on break and didn't have anywhere to be.

Today when I had woke up, I walked to the living room expecting to see Cal like I always did. He was always up early and seemed wide awake. But today, he wasn't sitting there, he wasn't even in the kitchen.

"Cal?" I called out while I walked to his bedroom. I've only been in here once, because we were always out in the living room. His room was very different from my room, Nick's old bedroom. The walls were painted a light gray and the rest of his room followed the same theme. He had clothes strewn everywhere as well as a few mugs scattered.

I closed his door when I realized he wasn't in there. I shrugged it off and went back into the living room. Cal taught me how to use the "DVD player" so I could watch movies without asking. I opened the case to The Lion King and popped the disk into the player. I got comfortable on the love seat, keeping myself warm in Cal's sweatshirt that he had let me keep. He realized he hadn't gotten me one of my own and that I looked comfortable in it.

I had gotten about halfway through the movie before the front door opened without me acknowledging it.

"Seriously? You've watched that movie a million time now." Cal said, amused. I jumped at the sound of his voice and turned to see him carrying multiple bags. He was wet from rain which made his dark hair even darker. It made him even more attractive.

I shook my head and blushed. I watched him take some of the bags to the kitchen.

"It has not been that many times!" I told him as I stood up to see what he got. It looked like he had mostly bought basic groceries as well as more pie ingredients. I smiled.

"Dude, you can probably quote that movie word for word," he laughed while putting the milk away in the fridge. I started to help put things away so I wasn't just standing there.

"Cannot," I denied. I couldn't help but watch the movie over and over, I had shortly fallen in love with it. I could watch it and still get the same feelings I did the first time. Cal let out a hearty laugh then walked over to the dining table where he had left some other bags. He sat down so I sat down next to him.

"What did you get?" I asked curiously, hoping he would show me what's in the bag. He reached in and pulled out multiple copies of different books. He continued to pull more out of the bags till we had a big pile on the table with us. "You bought books? You don't seem like the one who would want to sit down and read all of these."

"First off," Cal said while holding up one finger, "rude. Second off, these are for you." I raised my eyebrows and pointed to myself.

"Me?"

"No, the other you," He replied sarcastically with an eye roll. "Honestly, for a child prodigy, you sure are stupid."

"Shut up," I hit his arm, but he ignored me and smiled. He picked up one of the books and showed me the cover excitedly. "Harry...Potter? That's what you want me to read? That looks like a child's book." I almost said in an annoyed tone. Did he really think of me as a child rather than someone close to his own age? I tried not to ask too many questions anymore so he didn't think that way, but he still always took his time to try and explain everything to me slowly.

He made a large, fake gasp and held his hand to his chest. "No, no, no, no, no, no, and no." He shook his head which shook a lot of rain water from his hair onto me. I glared at him but he just gave me a toothy smile. "This is the start to a legendary series. The first book of the biggest adventure any of us could have gone through. Including the biggest conflict you will ever read about, my friend." He spoke dramatically while keeping eye contact to me.
