The day after Halloween was November 1st. It was also the day that Nick decided to burst into our apartment again.

"Merry Christmas!" Nick came in wearing a Santa Claus hat and had a large grin on his face. Trinity came in behind him shaking her head with a smile on her face.

"It's still November," Cal said grouchily. He was leaning against the counter glaring at Nick like he usually did. "Christmas spirit doesn't start until December."

"But that's where you're wrong, dear Phillip-"

"Don't call me that-"

"Besides, nothing happens between Halloween and Christmas anyways." I looked confused for a second.

"What about Thanksgiving? I thought that was still a thing-"

"It's not."

"Thank you!" Both Cal and Nick spoke at the same time. Both of them glared at each other because of their responses. I was still confused.

"You see, Thanksgiving isn't important, so we just forget about it," Nick tried to explain, so I nodded my head in understanding. But then Cal intercepted.

"Thanksgiving is very important, thank you very much." Nick rolled his eyes.

"What's so good about Thanksgiving? Nothing."

"Well, there's the enormous amount of food you get to eat-"

"You can eat that much any time of the year, because no one's stopping you," Nick exasperated. "Besides, it's just a day that Americans celebrate not killing off the people they will later kill off." Nick grinned widely.

"You're an idiot."

"And you're a Grinch. No, you're the Grinch." Cal glared at him while Trinity laughed.

"Your face will get stuck like that," I pointed out to him. That made Nick and Trinity laugh more. Cal walked by and flicked my nose before sitting on the couch.

"Is there a reason you guys are actually here today?" Nick collapsed on the couch besides Cal.

"Yes, we are here to discuss plans."

"Plans?"

"Yes, plans," Nick repeated without giving further explanation to what he meant. He had a mischievous look on his face while Cal looked annoyed.

"If you don't explain-"

"It's almost the end of the year, Cal! The most exciting time!" Nick exclaimed. "Everything's great! Nothing's wrong. You got a promotion, I'm moved in with Trinity, Trinity is pregnant, and my best friend isn't single. It's been a good end of the year."

"I'm sorry, what?" Nick ignored him.

"So, we need good plans to keep the good year going. Spending Thanksgiving, no matter how silly it is, and Christmas."

"Can we just talk about-"

"We can all come out to our house and-even better idea, you guys can stay with us! We'll decorate and have Christmas there, it'll be great."

"Nick-"

"Then there's New Years! We have to do something fun for New Years!" Nick started rambling to himself about all the different ideas he had.

"What do you mean your best friend isn't single?" Cal blurted out. Nick stops and turns around with a grin.

"So I was right? You guys are finally a thing?"

"No-"

"You are!" Trinity yelled out. She gasped and smiled widely. "I knew it!"

"Why do you just assume-"
