It was very warm when we reached our destination. Even in the airport, I could feel and see the difference. The airport was much busier than it was at ours because it was later in the day. There were also more people wearing shorts and T-shirts.

While we were walking through the airport, Bill started explaining our situation more thoroughly. He described the living situation. We would all stay in the same hotel, Bill and Laura would have their own room as well as Noah. So Cal and I were to have our own room.

"I hope you don't mind, the room only has one bed," Bill informed us. Noah himself looked surprised, and raised and eyebrow at his uncle. "But it does have a pull-out couch, so you guys can alternate between those two beds if you choose." Cal nodded as Bill went on to explain some more of our situations.

We were catching separate cabs to the hotel. Just like coming to the city, this whole experience would be relatively new to me. It was really hot as soon as we stepped outside. I could see why there were so many people wearing shorts, and I wished I had done the same.

Bill gave us the address to the hotel then proceeded to take a cab with Laura and Noah. Cal and I waited for the next one to pull up and got in. He told the driver where we were going and we were off. I felt like how I did when I had first came to the city. I shyly asked Cal a bunch of questions as we passed things that weren't familiar.

"So, Bill told me we weren't doing anything today. That gives us the freedom to travel around," Cal informed me with a smile. Cal looked a lot less tense than this morning, but just as tired as before. I guess he didn't sleep on the plane, which wasn't unreasonable. The ride was a bit bumpy and I knew Cal didn't like riding on planes in the first place.

"Does that mean we can go to the beach?" I asked in an excited voice. As I knew of the beach was the descriptions I've read from my books. While all the characters had different opinions on the beach, they all saw them as beautiful. Cal nodded then laughed when he saw me get more excited.

"We're just going to stop at the hotel first." I nodded and continued to look out the window. The driver, sensing my excitement, kept pointing out things that we might find interesting. One of them was a fair near the hotel. I asked Cal if we could visit and we told me he would take me one of these days. We got to a grand hotel which I gaped at. When we got out the car, Cal told the driver that he could handle the bags before getting them both out. He wouldn't let me grab my own.

There was a grand chandelier in the hotel lobby that immediately caught my attention. When Cal told me what hotels were exactly, but I never expected them to be this nice. When I stopped staring at the chandelier I looked around and saw Cal at the front desk talking the the lady there. She smiled after doing something on her computer. I walked over and stood next to him.

"Alright, it looks like you guys are good to go," the lady said. She retrieved something from under her desk before looking back at us. Her eyes flickered between us before she smiled again. "Are you guys together?" She asked warily while handing Cal two plastic cards. Cal's eyes widened before he shook his head.

"Um, no. We're just staying here for a business trip," Cal explained. I almost grinned at the lady for assuming that, but I decided against it. Her smile had faltered slightly, but she wished us a good day anyways. Cal said the same thing to her and we went to the elevators. I looked at him but his expression remained blank.

The hallways were almost as nice as the lobby. I gasped when Cal opened the door the a very fancy room that was fairly big. It was almost as big as Cal's apartment. There was a very large bed that had end tables on either side. There was a large couch in front of a TV on the other side of the room. There was a very small kitchen and another door which I assumed was a bathroom.
