Cal set down a suitcase and rang the doorbell to Nick and Trinity's new house. Both us of were jumping up and down to keep ourselves warm in the cold weather. A layer of snow covered everything and was continuing to build up. I had to shake my head to get snowflakes out of my hair.

"Goddammit, why is he taking so long," Cal complained. "He knew we were coming." I just laughed even though I was cold too.

We eventually heard footsteps approaching the door. Nick opened the door with smile. He was wearing a Christmas sweater that had lights on it. He looked like he was about to say something, but Cal pushed him aside so we could get into the warmth. He let out a large sigh and dropped the suitcases when we got inside.

"Hey, be careful with that. New hardwood floors," Nick warned. Cal just whistled and took a look around the place.

"Wow, how adult-like of you," Cal teased. Nick grinned and punched Cal's arm.

"Yes, that's what happens when you grow up. You should try it." I laughed along with Nick. He then proceeded to show us upstairs and opened the first door you run into. "This is your guys' room." Cal raised an eyebrow.

"But you have two extra bedrooms." Nick snorted.

"I know. Hurry up and come downstairs. Trinity and I made dinner, so we're waiting for you." Nick ignored his implication walked back downstairs to let us get settled. I flopped down onto the bed while Cal put our bags off to the side.

"So where are you going to sleep?" I said jokingly. He let out a fake laugh before sitting down next to me.

"You ready for Christmas?" I nodded. We hadn't ended up coming a week in advance like planned. We came on Christmas Eve and planned to stay until next year. Cal said that he didn't want to stay with them that long.

We laid there for a few minutes before we made our way back downstairs. We managed to find the dining room and saw Trinity placing multiple dishes on the table. She just told Cal and I to take a seat, so we sat next to each other. When she was finally done, she and Nick sat directly across from us. We started to load our plates and they sparked up a conversation.

"Did you parents send you anything this year?" Nick ended up asking Cal. Cal shook his head and smiled.

"No, they were probably pissed off with my showing up out of nowhere stunt." Nick nodded with a laugh.

"Man, I wish I could have been there to see their faces."

"Yeah, it was terrifying." Cal stuffed his face with some more food, so it fell silent for a while. "How's the baby?" Trinity's face lit up and she placed a hand on her belly. It had become more apparent that she was pregnant now.

"Great!"

"Do you know the gender yet?" Trinity shook her head.

"One more month until we do."

"You have any name ideas?"

"Not really. We've been trying to look at some unique names for them." She rubbed her tummy a bit.

"How about 'Cal.' That's a great name." I rolled my eyes.

"Or 'Phillip?'" Nick suggested with a large smile. Cal narrowed his eyes at him and shook his head.

"You wouldn't dare."

"Why not? Phillip is a lovely name."

"What if it's a girl." She just shrugged. "Why not name it after Rory?"  My eyes widened and I shook my head fast. They all laughed at my reaction.

"Why don't you want a baby named after you?"

"Because then I feel like I have a large amount of responsibility, and I'm probably terrible with children." They laughed again.
