"Please!" Cal begged.
"No."
"Please?"
"No."
"Rory."
"Phillip." He glared at me after I said this. He then walked out his his room, so I followed him. He walked into my room and over to my closet. He began to pull out clothes. "What are you doing? I said no."
"Well since you called me that, you don't get a choice anymore." I groaned and threw my head back.
"I don't want to go to work today. It's so boring," I complained to Cal. He didn't care as he picked out fine dress pants, a button-up shirt and a tie.
"I don't care."
"Why are you forcing me to come with you? You don't even need me there." He turned to give me an innocent look and grinned.
"But I miss you, Rory." He started to give me puppy-dog eyes. I pointed at his face.
"I told you, you're not allowed to do that."
"Do what?" He grinned before putting the look back on.
"That!"
"My face?" I glared at him and nodded. "You're telling me I'm not allowed to have a face?"
"No, just not that one." I crossed my arms stubbornly. "Stop trying to bait me, you won't even miss me that much."
"And how would you know?"
"Because you never complained about it before."
"Because it would have been weird before," he said with his arms spread out, and shrugged.
"It's still weird now," I said grouchily. Cal and I had become a lot more comfortable with each other, but we haven't done anything else since that night.
"Get dressed, and I'll make you coffee." I threw my head back and let out a loud groan as he walked away. I put the clothes on hurriedly and walked out of my bedroom. Cal turned to me when I came into the living room. He rolled his eyes and walked over.
"I taught you how to tie a tie, Rory." He stood in front of me and tied it while saying the steps.
"I forgot," I said before letting out a large yawn. "What am I even going to do all day?"
"You'll figure it out. You act like this is your first time coming with me to work." He handed me a coffee before grabbing his bag and stuffing things into it. "Put a jacket on, it's cold outside." I rolled my eyes and followed his instructions.
Like always, Cal walked out of the apartment in a rush. I had to walk extra fast to keep up with him.
"Why do you always walk this fast?" I said while panting. "Honestly, it's exhausting."
"Because we're always leaving late."
"But we always arrive on time."
"Because we walk fast," Cal said with a smirk. "Maybe we wouldn't be walking this fast if you hadn't tried to argue with me."
"Maybe..." I grumbled.
There was a lot of traffic like usual in the city. It was almost as exhausting walking fast as it was sitting next to Cal when he was nervous.
"Honestly, you go through this process everyday, Cal."
"I can't help it." He glared at the cars in front of him. I smiled and kept silent for the rest of the trip. When we reached the building, Cal rushed upstairs like he always did. He only started to slow down when we got to the floor his office was on.
