Boyfriend Corso
I reached out my hand to the twi'lek male named Numen Brock that Corso and I had just broken out of the imperial base. He took my hand gratefully, and used it to pull himself up. I supressed a shiver as I noticed him not so discretly sweep his eyes up and down my body. This guy doesn't understand the three other times I told him no. I glanced back at Corso, who's hand was resting on his blaster. Smiling a little, I turned back to Numen.

"Hey, thanks again. Didn't think i'd get captured again after you freed me last time" he said.

"It's no problem. Those imps just don't know how to give up when they've lost" I replied. "Did you at least manage to short out the system?"

"Sure did" he said. And then his demeaner changed. I sighed internally, here he goes again. "You know, you and me, we should hang out sometime. Alone, some Alderannian wisky in the candlelight..." he trailed off suggestivly.

I opened my mouth to tell him no for the fourth time, but Corso beat me to it. He stepped forward, put his arm around my shoulder and glared straight at Numen.

"No, no candles. She's... allergic. And taken" he said, an edge to his voice. I fought back a smile. He was trying to act all tough, but I could still see the gentlemen of a farmboy underneath.

My gentlemen of a farmboy.

I walked into the cantina, looking around for the bar. Corso cleared his throat and gestured towards a man sitting on a couch in one of the private lounges. That must be the Darmus Pollaran Corso had said would help me find my ship. Nodding, I started walking towards him.

"You are Darmus Pollaran?" I inquired when I came into speakimg range of him. He was sitting in the thinker pose looking at his Sabacc table. He looked to be in his late twenties.

He glanced up, sitting up straight when he saw me. "Indeed I am Captain. And forgive me for being so blunt, but you are quite the radiant star."

I resisted the urge to roll my eyes. All these men trying to flirt with me, thinking that's the way to my heart. It would take more than a sappy pick-up line to get me to fall in love. I want a man who wants a long term relationship, not a fling. I'll never be lucky enough to find one though.

"Give it up Darmas. She's not your type" Corso asserted. I looked at him, eyes slightly widened in surprise. He'd never snapped like that before. He looked... jealous? But that makes no sense. Why would he be jealous?

And why in the world does that thought make me... happy?

I approached the bar, looking at the bartender. I waited a few moments. When he didn't turn around, I cleared my throat. He turned around and I had to blink. He was one of the horned aliens that I always forgot the name of.

"Hello. What can I do for you?" The bartender asked with a smile.

Keeping my face neutral, I slid forward the coin Risha said he would know.

"Ahhh, so it's you" he said after observing the coin. "I'm surprised you'd come to the likes of here. Then again, with a reputation like yours and a face like that, you won't ever have to buy yourself a drink"

I sighed, not even planning to respond to such a not thinly veiled act of flirting. Until I felt a hand place itself over mine and grasp it. I smiled. This should be good.

"Thanks buddy. I always thought of myself as quite the looker" Corso said. I laughed. The contrasting looks of seriousness on Corso's face and the look of shock on the bartender's was too much for me to handle. When I stopped, I looked at Corso and saw him looking at me with soft eyes and a gentle smile.

"Alright. So that's that. Good luck with this" I said, shaking Lenn Terran's hand. I tried letting go but he held on a little too long for my liking.

"Actually..." he said, and I groaned internally at the tone of his voice. Not again. Do these guys not see Corso? "I was hoping to thank you, properly. Perhaps over dinner?" He suggested.

I heard a sigh from my left. I turned towards Corso and raised an eyebrow. "Captain, I don't want to sit through this. Just call me when you're through with mr.Weasle." He said it quitely enough that Lenn Terran wouldn't hear. He started to turn away, to walk out the door, but I grabbed his hand. Corso stopped, looking at our hands and then up at my face.

"I need you with me, Corso." I said it loud enough that Lenn would hear and have no qualms about who was and wasn't available. His eyes widened slightly and I could see the wheels in his thick skull turning as he stared at our joined hands. I could actually see the moment he connected the puzzle pieces.

Corso smiled and returned to his place next to me, not letting go of my hand. He then leaned close to my ear and whispered with contentment and admiration in his voice.

"Anything you want, Captain"

(This isn't exactly jealous Corso, but whatever. XD)

"Oh, hello Captain. Long time no see. How's it going?" I glared at Skavak's face through the holo. I refused to answer his mocking question.

"You're the one that stole it, arn't you Skavak? You knew! And that women! How?" Corso snapped.

"Oh, her? Well she was quite easy. Only a few words, an unattended drink..."

You are so lucky this is a holo, Skavak. I thought.

"Damn you Skavak!" Corso looked how I felt: very angry. "Just let me get Hewie and when i'm through with..."

"You still have that thing?" Skavak half laughed, half spoke. My eyes narrowed. "The big vibrosword? Jeez, kid, what are you compensating for?"
Skavak scoffed.

Oh, that's it. You done messed up. I felt my anger flare.

"Corso's able to keep a women, unlike certain people" I said, glaring at Skavak. "So what are you compensating for?" I threw the insult right back at Skavak's puny... face.

Skavak looked angry. I smiled. It was fun seeing him upset. "You really annoy me, you know that Captain? I will kill you one day."

"Oh, I know Skavak. Too bad your bark is bigger than anything else." I retorted.

Skavak glared at me through the holo before ending the holocall. I only laughed. Such a crybaby. I turned to Corso, who was currently bright red. It was kinda funny.

"Corso, what's wrong?" I laughed.

"Well... I umm.. you didn't have too." He splurted out.

"I had to put him in his place. I don't stand for someone insulting you." I said, taking his hand.

"Well... but now he probably thinks we... umm..." Corso was getting more and more flustered.

"Who cares what he thinks? He's almost always wrong anyway. What matters now is I pissed him off enough to get him to come out of his hidey hole. We can finally get him back"

I saw Corso visually relax, and he shook his head to clear his mind. He looked at me and squeezed my hand.

"Thanks Captain."
