Pre- KOTFE. Boyfriend Corso.

I walked up to the meeting place and leaned lazily against the wall. They were late. I suppose I shouldn't be surprised; people weren't exactly concerned about manners in my line of work."Captain, why are we doing this again?" Corso asked, pacing back and forth in the small room. "We both hate Tatooine."
I covered my mouth and let out a small yawn. It's true, we both hated the heat on Tatooine. It wouldn't be so bad if they could just plant a few trees or something, geez. A girl needs some shade.
I sighed and smiled lightly at him "We need the money. Credits have been running low ever since Bowdarr went nuts and ate everyth..."
I stopped when I heard the echo of a pebble being kicked from closer to the entrance of the cave. I listened intently and heard hushed whispers that sounded as if they were reprimanding whomever kicked the pebble.
Slowly, I drew Flashy and Sparkles and glanced over at Corso. I met his eyes as he nodded, once, his own gun drawn. I returned my eyes to the entrance of the cavern we were in and started moving to the side. That's where those creeps would have to turn the corner to get in here. Internally, I grumbled. It just had to be a trick job. A trap. You've got to be kidding. I smirked as I crouched behind a boulder. Well, they'll learn the captain of the Quicksilver can get real cranky real fast.
Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Corso duck into a crevice in the wall before disappering from sight. Just in time, too. Their (not-so-well) hidden footsteps were just around the corner. Taking a deep breath, I flipped the safeties off of Flashy and Sparkles and aimed at the entrance.
Suddenly I let out a choked sound and dropped my blasters. The pressure around my neck was the hand of a nasty Trandosian lizard-man. They were strong; I could already feel it getting harder to breath. I brought my hands up to his to try and pry them off but he slapped my hands away.
"Pretty soft thing didn't expect stealth tech." He said in his language.
I felt anger boil inside me as he laughed at me. I stuggled to kick him, hit him, anything, but I was losing oxygen fast. I couldn't see much other than green blurs; the assains I had agreed to have a polite trading agreement with. You should've known better. I scoffed at myself.
Then I heard a blaster shot. I fell to the ground, the pressure relieved around my neck. I heard a body hit the ground. I fumbled around searching for my blasters, still dazed from the lack of oxygen.
Was that a man's voice yelling?
I didn't have enough time to figure out if it was, because in the next second pain exploded in my scalp as I was yanked up from the ground by my hair. I felt my head held back and a vibroknife pressed to my throat.
"One step closer and she dies" my new captor hissed. I was confused for a brief moment before I realized he wasn't a trandosian. He must have hired the lizard men.
What? Who's he talking t...
My eyes widened as my heart consticted. My blood, previously fueled with the fire of survival instict froze with a worry colder than Hoth.
Corso. Even in my head, my voice shook.
Despretly, I opened my eyes and looked around, searching for him. My eyes fell upon several trandosian bodies laying on the sandy floor of the cave. None of them seemed to be breathing. And then, my eyes were drawn to the only other living thing in the room.
I had never seen him so angry.
His entire body was tense, aiming his blaster straight for the man holding me hostage. He was practically bristling. His normally gentle, smiling mouth was set in a feral scowl. His eyebrows were furrowed so deeply that they met. His eyes were narrowed; I could barely see his pupils. But what I could see... was a fire buring fiercer than the Tatooine suns.
Corso looked ready to kill.
"If you don't let her go right now, she won't be the one dying" my eyes widened at his voice; his voice could only be described as a growl.
The man laughed. I could hear the grin in his voice. "Bad move buddy" I felt the vibroknife press into my neck and draw blood, but I refused to show the fear pumping through my veins.
"You see, all I want with you is your money. But her? I can do whatever I want with her." I suppressed a shiver. The man's tone left nothing to speculation as to why he had gone through the effort to track me down. Damn you're desperate. "She's mine now"
Something snaped inside of Corso. His drawed his lips back into a fearsome snarl and spat out his next words.
"Like hell"
Corso took aim and shot the man staight in the head faster than I could blink. I barely had time to take a breath before Corso's arms wrapped around me. I was stunned. Corso had never shot that well before. Nor had he ever shot that fast. It dawned on me that he had taken down six highly trained, extremly strong Trandosian's alone. He must have fought with a holy fury.
I felt myself smile as I wrapped my arms around his waist. Something about knowing that he had fought for me, that he was worried for me... it made me feel special. Made me feel lov...
"I thought I was going to lose you" Corso pulled back and looked at me, his eyes no longer filled with fire, but an ocean of worry.
I lightly shook my head and cupped his face with my hands. "I'll never be lost as long as you're by my side"
He smiled down at me, his eyes now sparkling with stars. "Then i'll never leave you" he slowly leaned in, and when our lips met, all was forgotten. There was no Tatooine sun, no assassins, no danger.
There was only us.
