Timeline: Nova and Corso have been dating for a few months. Pre-KOTFE. The dress I was picturing Nova in is above. Also, if you know Risha, you know that she's out of charactor in this fic. Let's just say she was having her yearly day of feeling helpful.

"Risha, I hate this. Do I have to?" I complained. This dress felt all wrong; I do not like wearing anything but my armored jeans and jacket.

"Of course you do Captain. You can't go to a formal dance dressed like you normally do. That would be scandalous. Stop squirming or i'll poke you with this needle again!" Risha responded.

"I've done worse..." I mumbled, crossing my arms. Although even I realized that if you want to infiltrate a senator's party you have to look the part. I sighed. The things I do.

"You're still not going to let me do your hair, are you?" Risha asked.

"My hair is fine, Risha." I snapped a little too harshly. "Sorry..."

"No, no, it's fine Captain" she laughed. She finished fitting the dress and took a step back. Her face broke out into a grin. "That farm boy is going to go nuts"

I blushed and rolled my eyes at the mention of Corso. "Yeah, yeah. Sure." I said, doubting it. And yet there was a nagging excitement/nervousness at the back of my mind. Would he like it? I hope he likes the dress. I thought, blushing.

I fixed the hidden blaster holders that were in the folds of my dress, making sure they were properly concealed. Risha slapped my hand away. "I do all this work to make you look perfect and you start messing with it? Tsk tsk" Risha shook her head.

I laughed and held up my hands in defeat. "Ok, ok, look, I'm sorry, ok?" I paused, glancing towards the door curiously.

Risha laughed, then pushed me towards the door. "Go find him, you lovebird"

I felt myself get annoyed. "I am not a lovebird" I said, then walked out of the door, ignoring Risha's loud laughter.

"Corso?" I called out, poking my head into the crew's sleeping quarters. I took a quick step back; he had been walking out of the door and I had almost run into him.

Corso had to dress up too, considering he was helping me crash the senator's party. I fought back a blush as I saw him in his suit. It was... handsome to say the least. He looked uncomfortable though, like he felt out of place. Kinda like how I absolutly despise wearing this dress.

"Oh my stars Captain, i'm so..." Corso stopped, his eyes widened, and his mouth fell open into a small o. His face gradually turned bright red. "I... uh... umm... you look..." he laughed nervously and rubbed the back of his neck.

Judging by how hot my face was, I wad probably blushing just as badly as Corso was. I tried to say something, anything, but all that came out of my mouth was silence. My voice picked the most perfect time to take a vacation.

Corso cleared his throat, though he was still bright red. "You look beautiful, captain." He took my hand and kissed it, looking me straight in the eyes.

"Th... thank you, Corso. You don't look too bad yourself" I sounded much more confident than I felt. I tried to calm down my heart, but it seemed my brain and the rest of me weren't on speaking terms right now.

He smiled, and I felt my heart flutter at the sight. His blush had calmed down a bit. Not letting go of my hand, he gestured towards the exit of the ship. "This way, Captain"

I rolled my eyes slightly, and walked with him towards the exit of my ship. I found myself thinking about the look on Corso's face when he saw me in the dress; he had looked... stunned.

I smiled. Maybe this dress isn't so bad after all.
