Again, Bowdarr's dialogue is translated for your benefit. This takes place just after Nova and Bowdarr are reunited.

I laughed at my own defeat as Bowdarr moved his piece to take over my side of the board and win the game... again. Bowdarr roared in victory. And pounded the table.

"You won again Bowie. Your skill hasn't gone away" I smiled in reminiscence and leaned back against the couch, crossing my arms. "We're playing just like the old days"

Bowdarr's victory smile disappeared to be replaced by a bittersweet one. I felt my own smile disappear as his demeanor changed.

"Bowie?" I asked cautiously, leaning forward to get a closer look at him. "Are you ok?"

Bowdarr turned his head to look at me, his eyes filled with a sadness that only forgotten memories can cause.

"No, captain. This is not like the old days" Bowdarr shook his head sadly.

Confused, I cocked my head to the side. "What do you mean Bowie? We're laughing, smiling, fighting by each other's side again"

Bowdarr smiled as if carrying a great sadness. "Yes, such is true. But" he pointed a finger at me. "Your eyes have changed greatly"

This only confused me more "What?" I asked incredulously.

Bowdarr's response floored me with shock. "The raging inferno that was once in your eyes has become but a spark in a heavy rain"

My eyes were wide, my mouth hung slightly open and I hugged my arms closer to myself to keep my insides from falling out. I turned my head to the side and retreated deep into the couch's cushions, and managed to mumble out "I don't know what you're talking about"

Bowdarr leaned forward to gently rest his large arms on the table. "Captain, ever since that day, you haven't been the same. Neither of you have."

I glanced at him out of the corner of my eye, refusing to look directly at him. "Are you sure you don't know where he is?" I asked Bowie for what must have been the hundredth time.

"No, Captain. Haven't seen or heard from him since we separated"

I sighed deeply and fought back the film of moisture that covered my eyes. "I know. I'm sorry to keep on bugging you about it" I closed my eyes and tried to shove the memories back, but like always, they stubbornly demanded to be recognized.

I heard Bowdarr get up out of his chair and then felt a large furry arm pull me into a large furry chest. I felt the deep rumble from his chest as he spoke.

"I did not see him then" Bowdarr whispered. "And I do not see you now"

And with that the tears flowed.
