The people began to fill the room, Nick wasn't very short but he wasn't that tall either. The people up front behind the bars began to block his vision.
He got up and tipped the girl from before to upgrade his seating. She lead him to a table a bit closer to the front. Nick took a seat and thanked her for the arrangement, he asked for a glass of red wine.
She came back soon after and left.
Nick watched the dancers do the routine, collaborating with the music. He found it hard to see Selena, the dancers up front had a lot of make up on and he wasn't sure if any of them could be Selena.
One glass came after another and Nick was starting to get impatient. He wasn't even sure if this was the club Selena was at. Finally the host came out to say it was the last performance for the night.
Nick checked his watch realizing it was already 11PM. He figured he was going to go soon, he decided to stay for the last one. In hopes of it to be Selena.
Because the next day he does have work.
A very upbeat song came on, it was perfect to end the night, it was also a very good song to collaborate a dance routine into it.
The stage let some steam flow out, with the pink and purple turning lights emitted the beauty of the stage. It was very gypsy looking.
The curtain unraveled and the dancers were in position. On the center was a girl who had her back to the audience, and behind her were the dancers. They had their head down at first, then as the music elevated the beat and rhythm the dancers got up and started dancing some hip hop.
The crowd praised their moves, as they whistles and applaused with the music. Nick found himself enjoying the performance.
When the dancers looked up, Nick recognized Selena right away. She wasn't the center dancer, she was one of them on the right side, where Nick sat. He had a good view of her.
But he found her costume a little bit revealing. It made him a bit uncomfortable but he joined the crowd and whistled with applause that followed.
Selena who was onstage dancing tried to stay intune while looking for Nick. She found it amusing for what she was doing because she realized after she got to the club for rehearsal that she didn't give Nick the address at first.
Although she figures this was the only dance performance club besides the stripper club a block away. But the street was small and there were only two other dance performing clubs besides hers.
Selena was a little surprised when she saw Nick at seat on the further back. Their eyes locked at the minute, she waved him a smile and continued to dance.
As the music slowed, their routine was almost over. The last bit was a little more sensual than she remembered. But with the costumes and the steam and lights, it made things more real. Nick from the bottom saw her face flush a peachy pink, sides the blush she was wearing.
But she wasn't blushing just because of the dance routine, but also for the lyrics that played.
