Both Nick and Selena turned to the female voice that aroused from behind them. Nick looked at Samantha, nearly trying to grasp for air. He felt his throat closing up on him when he saw her, he wasn't sure how he felt. But for sure he was scared of his dad witnessing this.
"What are you doing with this tramp?" Samantha walked over in her heels as she glared at Selena.
Selena gasped, "Excuse me, but this is a very high class area, we don't accept those language."
Samantha's face literally was burning with madness as she watch Selena defending herself and Nick not saying a word.
Secretly inside, Nick was laughing. He tried to hold in his laughter, but then he saw a tall man, he was built and his face was perfected with gifted features. He had really fine bone structures and was built, he looked even better in his yellow polo shirt.
Nick's face went pale, when he saw the tall man wrap his arm around Samantha's waist. She giggled as he leaned down to peck her lips.
"Conner, this is Nicholas my friend and Conner is my boyfriend," Samantha introduced them with her award winning devious grin. It reminded Selena of Alexis, that night she pushed her off stage.
Selena saw that Nick was a little shocked still, she linked her arms around Nick and with her free hand she reached out to the tall brunnette.
"Hi, I'm Selena," Selena gave Conner a sweet smile like the one she was smiling at Mrs. Jonas.
"Please to meet you," Conner took the soft hands of Selena in his and kissed it. Selena blushed a little, but that wasn't it. Nick hasn't spoken yet and Samantha was hoping for that.
Nick finally cleared his throat, "Hi, nice meeting you."
Conner turned his attention to Nick and they trade handshakes. Selena still had her arm linked around Nick's while Samantha just glared at Selena for it.
"So what's brought you to the country club?" Nick asked casually, he tried to ignore how Conner's hand relaxed her Samantha's small waist. Nick remembered how he used to hold her that way at those dumb parties and events they go to.
"We're just golfing," Samantha quickly answered.
Selena didn't like this girl at all, she was all bitchy and certainly was not someone she imagine Nick dating. The time was short, but she knew Nick was a kind man with a sweet heart. And he didn't deserve someone who is so drunk from life.
As Conner and Samantha continue to babble on about their reason for showing here, Selena caught a glimpse of Nick's mother walking in. She pretended to slip and Nick caught her just before her head hit the floor.
"Selena are you alright?" Nick asked with concern, it definitely made Samantha jealous. She scoffed looking away, while Conner also showed some concern.
"I'm fine," she squinted her eyes and turned to Nick as she stood up straight again, "Babe, I think I'm getting a little dizzy, can we go?"
Nick knew something was up, it was her cue. Nick nodded and looked up, "Sorry, rough night. I guess I'll catch up with you guys later."
Conner smirked at Nick's reason understandable, "It was great meeting you, both of you."
"Nice seeing you again Nick," Samantha said, in her angelic voice. It made Nick go weak in his knees.
The couple turned as they exit the restuarant, both Nick and Selena smiled at them and watched them untilt hey really exited.
Nick's mother turned into the hallway just then and looked at Nick and Selena who looked surprised to see her.
"Mom," Nick said shocked, he was going to explain but he saw how her eyes were puffy and red. It looked like she was just crying.
Selena took a few steps closer as well, she brought Mrs. Jonas over to a chair by the bathroom. She was concerned about her as well, Nick sat next to her on the leather bench and tried to comfort her.
"What happend ma?" Nick held onto her elbow to balance her as she sat down.
"It's nothing," Mrs. Jonas tried to pull a smile through the tears that rolled down her cheek again, "Your father is so stubborn."
Nick sighed, knowing that it was his father again that must have caused a scene or just hurt his mother's feelings.
"Don't let me ruin the mood sweetie," Mrs. Jonas smiled wiping her tears and holding on to Nick's cheek. She looked up to Selena who just gave her a comfort smile, "Here, why don't you and Selena go back home first and you can show her my garden?"
"Oh no, Mrs. Jonas, I'd love it if you showed me, I'd like to learn more about the plants," Selena urged in, she knew that if she talked about her plants, it will make her happier.
Right away Mrs. Jonas's face lit up with a smile, "I'd love to, I'll get back and see if the boys and Dani are ready to head home."
Selena nodded with a smile as Mrs. Jonas hurried away back to the patio. Nick got up with an apologetic yet thankful look on his face. She just shrugged and went to the bathroom, he stood outside and waited.
