Chapter Nine

Third Person POV

Poseidon held Percy as Percy napped. Amphitrite and Triton sat across from him, whispering to each other.

"Do you think he will be okay, Father?"

"What do you mean, Triton?"

"I mean, he's already been through so much, how is he going to act now? Is he going to shield himself from the world and stay in his room? Is he going to need more attention? Will he be more affectionate or more child-like because of trauma? Will he be closed-off? We all saw what happened today and the results. What will he do if it happens again?"

"I do not know, Triton. Taking that he did not have a good home as a child, he might become more child-like and affectionate or maybe the total opposite. We can only hope for the best. We can give him attention and support and hope he accepts it."

Triton nodded. He was about to speak, when a burst of pink glitter piped out of nowhere, and when it subsided, there stood Aphrodite in all her glory, holding shopping bags. Many shopping bags.

"Alrighty! Where is Perseus?" She squealed.

Percy shifted on Poseidon's lap.

"Ah! There he is! Oh excuse my manners! Hello Posy! Hello Amphy and Tri!"

Triton grunted and Amphitrite gave a forced smile. She obviously did not like the nick name.

"Good day, Aphrodite." Poseidon said.

He shook Percy slightly.

"Percy..." Percy made a questioning noise. "Wake up...Aphrodite is here"

Percy made a whining noise and turned to bury his head in Poseidon's chest.

"Come on, Percy..."

"Nooooo"

"Please?"

"I don't wanna"

"You can get new clothes..."

"Clothes?"

"Mhm."

"I want clothes."

"Then you need to get up and let Aphrodite take care of you."

"Mmm never mind then"

"Don't make me do this..."

"Do what...?"

Poseidon stood up, grabbed Percy, placed him on the couch, and started tickling him.

"Hahahahaha! Stohahahahahaop! Pleahahahahahahahahase! Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!"

"Not until you agree to let Aphrodite give you clothes!"

"Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha! F-f-hahahahaha-ine! Hahaha! Fine! Hahaha!"

Poseidon stopped and Percy lay on the couch trying to catch his breath.

"That wasn't so hard no was it?"

"You cheated!"

"No I didn't!"

"You owe me."

"What do I owe you?"

"You want me to do this so you have to watch Finding Nemo with me after!"

"Hahaha okay"

"Yay!"

"Awwwwwww! You are so cute!"

Poseidon and Percy turned. For a second they forgot Aphrodite was here.

"Come now Percy! It's time to go!"

"Where are we going...?"

"My palace of course!"

Percy had time to shoot Poseidon one more pleading look before Aphrodite grabbed Percy's arm and they vanished in a cloud of pink glitter.

I was going to put the whole dress up thing in this chapter and Tyson coming in, but instead I'm going to leave it at this and update a few more chapters today including the dress up scene, Tyson, and the Finding Nemo scene.
