Third Person POV
Triton and Percy walked to the dining room for breakfast. As soon as they opened the doors, all heads turned to them.
Poseidon smiled warmly and opened his arms. Percy ran into them and Poseidon hugged him tight.
"Good morning, Percy."
"Morning, dad."
Poseidon motioned to a servant, who pulled out Percy's chair next to him and Amphitrite. Percy blushed, but sat down.
Amphitrite smiled at him and kissed his forehead.
Triton sat across from him and Tyson to Percy's right.
Another servant came and placed a plate in front of Percy. There was fruit- pineapples, strawberries, peaches, bread-bagels, toast, cheese-cheddar, mozzarella, cream cheese, sweets-Danishes, waffles(blue), pancakes(blue).
Percy stared at it with wide eyes.
"Well? Go on. You must be famished!"
Poseidon exclaimed.
"I-I'm really not..."
"None sense! Please, eat!"
"O-okay..."
Percy picks up the fork next to him. It falls out of his hand. He picks it up again and grips it like its his lifeline.
Amphitrite adjusts his hand so that he is holding it properly. Percy uses the fork, with shaky hands, and picks up a strawberry. He chews and let's out a moan.
"Mmmmm"
"You like it?" Triton asks, smiling.
Percy nods enthusiastically and continues to occasionally munch on the cut up pieces of fruit while everyone eats.
"So Percy. Hermes came with news this morning. There is going to be a party on Olympus tonight, and it will be in your honor. All of Olympus will be there. However, the council has decided to ask your permission to invite the camps. What do you say, Percy?"
Percy froze.
"W-w-what?"
"The camps have invitations...but we are waiting for your permission before delivering them."
"...o-o-okay..."
"Okay?"
"Y-yeah. I-I mean, I-I don't...I don't hold it a-against th-them..."
"They betrayed you, Percy!"
"I know."
Poseidon sighed.
"If you say so, Percy. The party will be tonight at five."
Alright guys! There you go!!! I'm sorry I didn't update sooner! I was dragged to my sister's orthodontist appointment and shopping. Anyway, next chapter will be the camps' reactions to the invitations! What did you think?
