Ch.41 Siren

Everyone rushed over to 'The Midnight Rule' thrift shop where they saw Danielle getting ready to leave for her break.

"Danielle!" Elena called as they ran to her.

"Oh hey guys" Danielle said "Is something wrong?"

"Yeah" Kayla said "Francis has been turned to wood."

"What?"

Kayla explained about since the curse was broken, Francis has been turned to wood due to her changes in the curse.

"And we have the Blue Fairy's wand to turn her back" Olivia said as she showed Danielle the wand "But we need you to turn her back."

"Why me?" Danielle asked.

"Because apparently we can't use it cause we don't know light magic" Elena explained "And you're the only one we know who does."

"So can you please turn her back?" Julie asked.

"Oh uh" Danielle said with a nervous look "I don't know, I haven't used magic in a long time and I don't even know if I still have it."

"Well I have my powers" Elena said "So you should have yours too."

"Can you at least try?" Scott asked.

Danielle gave a sigh "All right I'll try."

"Thank you" Julie said as she handed her the wand.

Danielle didn't remember the last time she held a wand, but it was when she knew she had magic.

"Come on" Kayla said as they went to Francis's house where they saw her wooden body still on the couch.

"Oh my God" Danielle gasped when she saw Francis.

"Yeah it's bad" Kayla agreed "But can you try to turn her back?"

"I'll try" Danielle said as she got herself ready "Here I go."

She cleared her mind and focused on her powers as the wand started to light up as everyone's eyes widen. She then taped the wand on Francis's wooden head as her whole body lit up. After the light was gone, everyone saw that her skin was back to flesh as Francis started to wake up.

"Francis" Kayla gasped.

"Huh?" Francis said as she forced herself up.

She then looked at her skin and saw that they weren't wooden anymore.

"What the?" she gasped "I'm back, how?"

"Thank Danielle" Elena smiled as Francis looked at Danielle who was still holding the wand with a smile on her face.

"You did this?" Francis said surprised.

"I didn't know I could" Danielle said as she looked at the wand.

"Thanks" Francis smiled as she ran her hands over her skin "Man am I glad to feel alive again."

"So Danielle" Kayla said "What are you gonna do now since you know you still have magic?"

"Well I'm gonna practice" she said "But with my own wand wherever it is."

"Why don't you look in Mr. Gold's shop?" Scott suggested "He pretty much has everything."

"I will."

"Well thanks again" Francis said "If it weren't for you I'd still be a wooden puppet."

"No problem" Danielle smiled "Now I'm gonna look for my wand."

"Okay bye" everyone said as she left.

"So Francis" Elena said "How do you feel?"

"Better" she said.

"Well hey we still got time to go to the movies" Kayla said "You still wanna go?"

"Yeah" she smiled.

"You guys up for it?" Kayla asked everyone.

"Sure" they all said "Let's go."

And with that they left Francis's place.

Following Cerise's map, Hunter made his way down a hill and to a lake, he looked it the map, he was at Lake Nostose. Remembering Cerise's warning of the guardian of the lake that drowns it's victims, he looked around but saw nothing. But knowing he needed to save Ashlynn, he went to the lake while still being cautious as he pulled out a water container and started to fill it with the water. But as he was doing so, he suddenly heard a strange noise as he saw ripples on the water. Knowing that it must be the guardian, he pulled out his small sword that he had and waited for the creature.

"Show yourself beast" he demanded as he got in position.

At that point he saw bubbled appear in the lake, and soon a head popped out from the water as it began to rise as it's full body rose from the lake. Hunter saw that it was a siren, with her long wet blonde hair and beautiful features, he was stunned. She looked at him with a smile as she stood on the lake like she was standing on a table.

"Here I am" she smiled.

She then started to walk towards him.

"I can be anyone you want to me to be" she said.

"Stop" Hunter pointed his sword at her with a stern look "I know what you are, you're a siren who wants to lure me to my death."

The siren just gave a smile as she moved his sword away.

"I would never hurt such a brave, handsome man like yourself" she said as she ran her fingers across his chest in a flirty way "Not when there's so many things we can do."

"I said stop" he demanded as he moved her hand away "I will not fall prey to your tricks."

"Really?" she smiled as she backed away "You're immune to me."

She then scooped up some water and dropped it on herself as her appearance changed to the girl Hunter loves with all his heart; Ashlynn. His eyes widen, it was an exact duplicate of Ashlynn with wet hair.

"Like me more now huntsman?" she asked with a smile.

"No" Hunter said trying not to believe it "You're not really her, it's just an allusion."

"Sometimes allusions are better then truth" she said as she walked towards him and put her hands on his chest "Everything you want, that you can't have, I can give it to you."

She then ran her hands over his shoulders as she walked around him which charmed him.

"All you have to do" she said as she looked into his eyes "Is kiss me, I know you want to I can feel it."

"No" Hunter said, but he felt himself leaning in and kissing her lips.

He was so stunned that he dropped his sword. Soon they pulled away as she started to pull him onto the water with her flirty smile.

"No" he said realizing what's happening "I don't want an allusion, I want reality."

"This doesn't feel real?" she asked as she kissed him.

After the kiss Hunter couldn't stop looking into her eyes.

"Ashlynn" he whispered.

"Yeah it's me" she smiled as they kissed again "I love you."

"Wait" Hunter said as he pulled away "It's not you."

"Yes it is" she said "I love you."

"No, it's not real love, I felt it, and it isn't it" he said as he pushed her hands away "I know the difference."

"Congratulation huntsman" she said "You're the first."

And with that she jumped on him knocking him into the water where he was dragged down.
