Ch.46 Hood tree house

(3 months ago) The next day at school during lunch, Stella and Sabrina were talking about Kendell taking Stella home yesterday.

"So you trusted him?" Sabrina asked.

"I did a bit" Stella said "And he actually brought me home."

"Was it fun riding on his motorcycle?"

"It was, he should give you a ride, you would enjoy it."

"Well..." Sabrina said as she looked over Stella's shoulder "Speaking of Kendell."

Stella turned around and saw Kendell coming towards them.

"Hey" he smiled.

"Oh, hey Kendell" Stella smiled back.

"Just to let you girls know that there's gonna be a party at my place this Friday, and maybe you girls would like to come."

"Oh" the sisters said surprised.

"I'll be there" Stella said "I love parties. Sabrina?"

"I guess I can come" Sabrina said.

"Great" he smiled "See you ladies there."

And with that he walked away.

"Wow" Stella said "We're going to a party this Friday, how cool is that?"

"So cool" Sabrina agreed with a smile "But what should I wear?"

"Oo, why don't you wear that cute floral dress you got at Danielle's thrift shop."

"Yeah" she agreed "And maybe I can pair it with my wedges."

"Oh my gosh you'll look so cute."

"I know" she giggled.

"Well I can't wait to go, I bet this party is gonna be a blast."

It was the night of Briar's party, and everyone had gathered at the Red Shoes Dance Club where they were all dancing and talking and just having a great time. Soon Holly and Poppy entered.

"Wow this place looks great" Holly smiled.

"I know" Poppy agreed with a smile.

"Hey you guys made it" Briar walked up them with a smile.

"Yeah this place looks amazing" Holly said "It's no wonder that you always throw the best parties."

"Well it is my thing" Briar smiled "Well you two have fun."

And with that she walked away.

"Holly!" Apple called.

"Apple hey!" Holly waved as she joined her, leaving Poppy alone.

Now alone, Poppy looked around for something to do, she didn't see anyone to talk to, so she just started to walk around. Poppy pushed her way through the crowd of dancing people as the loud music played. But since there isn't really anything for her to do, she made her way pass the crowd and to a door she knew that led to the roof. She opened the door and climbed up the stairs and opened another door that took her to the top of the club. She climbed on the roof and closed the door as she sat down and gazed upon the view. Being the daughter of Rapunzel made Poppy love hanging out in high places, which is why her favorite places to hang out were roofs. And now that she was away from all those people, she just continued to gazed into the view.

But her thought came to a stop when she heard the sound of a soda can being opened, she turned and was surprised to see Sparrow sitting across from her on the roof with a soda in his hand. She didn't even notice him until now.

"So you actually came huh?" he asked her.

"Oh" she said "Yeah my sister and I came."

"Where is your sister?"

"Inside."

"How come you're not inside?"

"Oh I, just wasn't in the party mood."

"Yeah neither was I, which really surprises me since I'm always partying. But it's actually pretty cool being up here, I mean, look at this view, it's amazing."

"I know" she agreed.

"And if you can look close, you might just be able to see my tree house."

"How come you live in a tree house instead of a dorm?"

"Well" he sighed "I just don't think anyone would like me as a roommate."

"What about your band members?"

"Oh they're roommates, leaving me the odd one out. And since no one wanted me as a roommate, and I didn't want one either, I decided to turn my tree house into my own personal home."

"But doesn't it get lonely there?"

Sparrow gave another sigh "Sometimes, but who cares, I'm usually alone."

Poppy could see the sad look in his eyes.

"You okay?" she asked.

"Yeah" he said, but she could tell he was hiding something.

"Do you like, maybe wanna, go to your tree house?" she asked.

"Now?" he asked.

"Why not? I mean, we both don't feel like partying."

Sparrow gave a smile "Alright."

"Great" she smiled "Let me tell my sister first."

After telling Holly where she was going, Poppy and Sparrow went into the Enchanted Forest and to his big tree house where they climbed up the steps and inside.

"Wow" Poppy said as she admired the place "This is like the coolest tree house I've ever been in."

"Well this is where I live" Sparrow said as he sat on the couch as Poppy sat on a beanbag.

"Want one?" he held up a soda.

"Sure" she said as she took it "So is this where you practice your music?"

"Yep, this is where I come up with my latest tunes."

"Hey can I ask you something? How come you don't want to be the next Robin Hood? I mean, everyone will see you as a hero."

"Well" he sighed "I just don't feel like this destiny is made for me you know? I mean, music is my life, and I don't want that to be taken away from me."

"But what will your parents think about that?"

"Well I'm not sure about my mom, but my dad" he gave a sigh "I haven't really talked to him in months."

"How come?"

"Well let's just say we've never really gotten along."

"Oh" Poppy said sadly "I'm sorry."

"Don't be" he sighed "I mean I still care for him and all, but we don't really talk anymore."

"What about your mom?"

"Well since she's a teacher at our school I see her everyday, and I'm actually more closer to her. I've always been close to Little John, he was like the uncle I've never had, and I still talk to him today."

"Well that's cool" Poppy smiled "But don't you ever consider talking to your dad?"

"What's the point? All he's just gonna say is how pathetic I am choosing music over my destiny."

"Well if you could just reason with him maybe he'll change his mind."

"I don't know" he sighed "I don't think I'm ready."

"Well if you're ready just let me know and I can help okay?"

"Okay."

And with that Sparrow and Poppy continued to enjoy each others company for the rest of the night.
