Ch.21 Frog talk

The next day in Theater, everyone was memorizing their monologues as they waited for their teacher to come in.

"All right everyone" Mr. Darwin entered "It's audition day, so here's how it's gonna go; You perform your monologues, and after everyone does it, I'll announce what role you would be playing. So who would like to go first?"

After a few students performed their monologues, Andy felt that he was ready to do his. So he went up and did it, and everyone applauded after his performance. After him, Rachel performed hers, Andy was amazed by how good she was at acting. Soon everyone finished their monologues, and Mr. Darwin had made his choice.

"All right everyone" he said "I have chosen the roles, for the role of John: Andy".

Everyone applauded as Andy's eyes widen, he had gotten the lead role!

"For the role of Lillian" Mr. Darwin continued "Rachel".

Everyone applauded as Andy turned to Rachel who had a smile of her face. She then turned to him and he returned with a small smile.

"Ooo" a girl said behind him "You're gonna have to kiss her".

Andy's eyes widen, he flipped through the script and saw that towards the end, John was suppose to kiss Lillian, he had to kiss Rachel! After Mr. Darwin announced the other roles, Andy went up to Rachel.

"Hey uh, I know we're suppose to kiss towards the end and all" he told her "And uh-".

"Look" Rachel cut in "I know you're with Bridget, and I wont take this personally".

"Oh, okay then".

"One more thing" Mr. Darwin announced "Practice your part, whether you do it alone or with someone, but get your lines memorized. Especially you Andy and Rachel, since you guys got the lead roles".

"Oooo" the girls giggled as Rachel gave a smirk.

After class, Rachel went out the room as Andy caught up with her.

"Hey Rachel" he said "Since Mr. Darwin said we have to practice our lines, I was wondering if there's a chance we could go over our lines, and we don't have to do the kissing part".

"Hmm" Rachel said as she started to think "We can do it this Friday after school".

"Okay, where?"

"Well, you can come to my place since it's quiet where I live".

"Okay, sounds like a plan".

"Great" Rachel smiled "I'll see you Friday".

After she left, Andy spotted Bridget walking down the hall, he decided to tell her about the play so he went up to her.

"Hey Bridget" he said.

"Oh hey Andy" she smiled.

"Hey look, so you know about the play in my Theater class right?"

"Yeah, what part did you get?"

"John, the lead role".

"Well that's great" she smiled.

"Yeah, and uh, Rachel got the part of Lillian, and that's mean I'm gonna have to kiss her".

"Oh".

"And I don't want you to get jealous-".

"I'm not jealous".

"You're not?"
