Ch.55 Dreamcatcher

Inside his shop, Mr. Gold was busy polishing a globe when Rachel and Andy came in.

"Mr. Gold" Rachel said "We need your help."

"Oh" he said "What can I help you with?"

"Well you know everything right?"

"You can say that."

"Well is there a way we can find out where Andy came from?"

"Oh" he said surprised as he looked at Andy, wondering if he should tell him the truth "Well uh-".

He then gave a sigh.

"I guess it's time to tell you the truth" he sighed.

"What?" Andy and Rachel said.

Mr. Gold went to a shelf and pulled down a gold colored dreamcatcher and handed it to Rachel.

"Look into the dream catcher and you'll see where he came from" he told them.

"Okay?" they said as they looked into the dreamcatcher.

All of a sudden an image appeared on the dreamcatcher, the image showed a basket in the river that was stuck in some branches. Soon a crying from heard from the basket as Gold appeared in the image. He went over to the basket and pulled it out of the river and opened it to see a baby boy crying.

"What's he doing here?" he asked himself.

He looked around and saw that no one was near, wondering if this baby had been abandoned. But since no one was around, he figured he could be right.

"Well I suppose if you've been abandoned" he said "I might as well raise you, I've always wanted a child. But what should I name you? How about- Simon? Yeah, that will work."

And with that he took the baby and the basket and went away, and at the point the image faded. Rachel's and Andy's eyes widen and their jaws dropped. Andy then looked at Mr. Gold.

"Dad?" he gasped.

"Hey Simon" Mr. Gold said with a little sigh.

"Oh my God" Rachel said with a shocked look as she still looked at the dreamcatcher.

"Shocking right?" Mr. Gold asked.

"Could it be?" she gasped.

"Wow you're really shocked about this aren't you?" Andy said.

"Not that, the basket in the river, it's not possible is it?"

"What do you mean?"

"Andy have you ever heard the lost tale of 'Cupid and Psyche'?"

"No."

"Well I think it's time you know the story. You know my father Eros right?"

"Yeah."

"Well this is his story when he fell in love with a girl name Psyche. They were together for a while until something caused them to break up. After that my father adopted me and Psyche gave birth to a baby boy who died at child birth, Psyche then placed the baby in a basket and let it flow down a river."

"Wait..." Andy said as his eyes widen "Are you saying that I'm the son of Psyche?"

"It all make sense, but I don't know how you're still alive. Were you really dead? Was it a mistake? Were you resurrected from the dead? What is it? Mr. Gold do you know?"

"I'm sorry" Mr. Gold said "But I didn't know anything about this."

"Does that mean I'm really suppose to be dead?" Andy said with shocked.

"I don't know" Rachel said.

"But, what about my name? What's my real name?"

"It's Luke."

"Luke?"

"Simon was the name Mr. Gold gave you, and Andy is your cursed name."

"Luke huh?"

"So what name do you want to be called?"

"I think I'm just gonna stick with Andy."

"Suit yourself."

"You know" Mr. Gold added "Since you're the son of Psyche, that also means that you're her true love."

"Really?" he said surprised.

"Well 'Cupid and Psyche' is a love story" Rachel said "But the break up was caused by something else, but I just don't know what."

"Well, if we're really designed to be together, then I would love that very much" he smiled.

"Oh" she blushed with a small smile.

"Ah young love" Mr. Gold smiled "I have no idea what that feels like."

"Well Rachel, since we're designed to be together, how about we go somewhere and chat for a bit?"

"I would love that" she smiled "Oh and, thank you Mr. Gold."

"No problem" he smiled as she and Andy left the shop.

Now in Nottingham, Marian, Sparrow and along with his band mates, Poppy, Duchess, and Melody headed into the Sherwood Forest.

"This place is really nice" Melody commented.

"It'd be even more nice if there was a pond nearby" Duchess said.

"Oh there is" Marian said "It's West of here."

"Well in that case, bye" she said as she turned into a swan and flew off.

"So is there like a music shop around here?" Melody asked.

"Oh yeah" Marian said "It's that way."

"Thanks" Melody smiled as she and Poppy went away.

But as they went Poppy turned to Sparrow and gave him the 'do it' face.

"Now you 2" Marian pointed to Sparrow's band mates "There's a motel that way, you 2 go there while Sparrow and I look for Robin."

"Wait what?" Sparrow said.

"See you dude" they said as they went off.

"Why can't I go with them?" Sparrow asked his mother.

"Because I need you to help me find your father" she said "Now come along."

"What's the point of coming here if I can't even hang with my pals?" he groaned as he followed her.

After a few minutes of walking in the forest, Marian spotted something on a tree, and she went over and saw that it was a Wanted poster with a picture of Robin on it. She sighed as she took the poster off and crumbled it up.

"After all these years he's still wanted" she sighed.

"What do you expect?" Sparrow asked "He's a skilled thief."

"And that's why nothing can stop him, they should just give up already."

"Wait is Prince John still ruling Nottingham?"

"No it's King Richard now, but even though Prince John doesn't rule anymore, he and the Sheriff are still after your father."

"Yikes."

"Marian!" a voice called "Can you help us with these boxes?!"

"Coming!" she called back as she turned to Sparrow "Stay here."

After she left, Sparrow looked around and wondered what to do. But all of a sudden he heard a twig snap, he looked around but saw nothing.

"Hello?" he called, no answer.

He then took a few steps back and felt himself being lifted into the air by a net he didn't see in the ground. He struggled trying to get out, but since he didn't have any weapons, he was stuck.
