Ch.29 Magic gone wrong

After a long day of searching for a girl to kiss Dylan back into a human, Julie, Scott, and Tara stopped at the 'Wonder diner' feeling exhausted.

"This is impossible" Julie said disappointed "We can't find a single girl who could save Dylan".

"Well there's still Macy" Scott said.

"But she's not interested in Dylan" Tara put in.

"Well she's the only one we haven't asked, we gotta try at least".

"You think she'll really kiss him?" Tara asked as she looked at the frog.

"We wont know until we find out".

At that point, Macy entered the diner.

"Well what do you know" Scott said surprised "Hey Macy!"

"Oh hey guys" Macy said as she went up to them.

"So uh, we were wondering if you could help us with something".

"Okay, what can I help with?"

"Well uh..." Julie said as she pointed to the frog that Tara was holding.

"Why do you have a frog?" Macy asked.

"It's actually Dylan" Tara said "Mira turned him into a frog".

"What?" Macy gasped.

"And the only way to turn him back if a girl could kiss him" Scott added "But it has to be a girl who truly loves him".

"And we were wondering if you could, try kissing him" Julie said with a nervous smile.

"Oh" Macy said surprised "Really?"

"Well we know he likes you and all, and even though you show no interest, can you at least try?"

"Well" Macy sighed "I mean, I do care about him, but if it's the only way to turn him back, I'll try".

"Thanks" Julie smiled.

"Let me see him" Macy held out her hands as Tara placed the frog on her palms "Wow he's cold".

"I know" Tara agreed.

"All right" Macy sighed as she looked into Dylan's frog eyes "Here's goes nothing".

She then leaned in and placed a kiss on her slimy forehead, everyone waited, but nothing happened.

"Huh" Scott said disappointed "It didn't work".

"Oh" Macy said sadly "I'm sorry guys".

"It's okay" Julie said with a sad look "You tried".

"So there's isn't any other way to turn him back?" Macy asked.

"No" Scott said "It has to be a kiss of true love, but apparently, we can't find it. There's no other girls who we know truly likes Dylan".

"Okay that's it" Tara said as she stood up "I can't hold it in any longer, I'll kiss him".

"What?" everyone said.

"I've been crushing on Dylan ever since we were at Ever After, he like his dorky self, and since I really do like him, I think I should kiss him".

"Really?" Julie gasped.

"Yeah, and I know I should of said this before, but now we have to turn him back, and I think I'm the one to do so".

"Well" Macy sighed "If you insist".

She then handed Tara the frog.

"By the way" Macy smiled "I always thought that you and Dylan would of been cute together".

Tara smiled as she took the frog.

"Okay Dylan" she said as she looked into his eyes "Let's hope this works".

She then leaned in and kissed his head, all of a sudden the frog poofed, and after the smoke went away Dylan was lying on the floor as everyone gasped.

"Dylan?" Tara gasped.

"What?" Dylan said as he rubbed his head "Whoa, I'm back".

"Yes you're back" Scott smiled as he helped him.

"I forgot what it was like to be a frog" Dylan said as he then turned to Tara "Oh".

"Hi" Tara said with a shy smile.

"So you turned me back".

"Yeah".

He gave her a smile "Thank you".

"No problem" she returned the smile.

"Dylan" Julie said "Can you tell us about Mira?"

"Oh right" he said surprised "I forgot to mention, Mira is also that new girl".

"Taylor?" Macy said.

"Yes her!" Dylan exclaimed.

"Oh my gosh" Julie gasped "We have to find her!"

"Well let's go!" Scott said as they all ran out the diner.

Nightfall had finally come, and Elena was out in the streets reading her mother's old spell book. She's been trying to find a good spell to practice on, but all the spells she read were either too evil or too hard. But then a spell caught her eye, it read: 'Stars spell- cast this spell to unleash stars into the sky'.

"Hey Elena" Olivia came up to her "What are you doing out here?"

"I'm trying to practice a spell" Elena explained "And it seems I've found one I would like to try".

"Oo what is it?"

"It's called a star spell, it's suppose to make stars appear in the sky, and since it's such a cloudy night, I might as well try this".

"Oo, can I watch?" Olivia asked with interest.

"Sure".

"Hey girls" Lauren came up to them "What are you up to?"

"Elena is going to cast a spell to make the stars appear" Olivia smiled.

"Oo I wanna watch" Lauren said with interest.

"Sure" Elena smiled.

"Hey everyone!" Lauren called to everyone who was around "Elena is going to cast a spell to make the stars appear!"

"I kinda saw that coming" Elena laughed as everyone, including Mira gathered to watch "So everyone is going to watch huh? All right then".

"So did Lauren say you were gonna cast a spell to make the stars appear?" Hailee asked.

"I'm gonna try" Elena said.

"Well this should be good" Hailee said as she pulled out her camera and started to record.

"All right" Elena said as she got ready "Here I go".

She clawed her hands towards each other as a ball pf purple light appeared. She then started to chant the spell, but behind everyone, Mira gave a sneaky smile as she put her hand on the road and let a trail of her magic travel through the crowd and towards Elena. Once the magic hit Elena, the ball of light in her hands started to get bigger.

"What the?" Elena said as the light got bigger "Whoa!"

"Elena what's going on?" Olivia asked with a worried look.

"I don't know!" Elena gasped as the light shot out from her hands and slammed into a car exploding it.

Everyone gasped at the explosion. Elena's jaws dropped as she looked at her hands that were steaming.

"Elena" Olivia said with shock "What happened?"

"I don't know" Elena said with shock "It was like I couldn't control my powers".

Behind the crowd, Mira gave a small laugh feeling proud of herself, if only her daughter would feel the same way about herself.
