"Aw come on, why do I have to go?" Edward questioned, as he crossed his arms to his chest slightly irritated.

"Do you think you can't do it or something? You know, going soft isn't an option FullMetal.." Mustang snickered, knowing very well just how to fuel the blonde boy's anger.

"Ofcourse I can you bastard! I just don't see why I have to go see about recruiting a state alchemist, can't someone else do it?" Edward replied, half angry and half bored.

"Everyone is busy at the moment, and as you know, I have no missions for you right now. This is a simple task and I expect you to return soon, okay? Mustang replied, not wavering as Edward has no choice when accepting missions from him.

Edward sighs heavily, before he lets a single mumbled word escape from his mouth, "fine..."

Edward leaves the colonel's office in a quick huff, the blonde proceeds to walk down the hall while he began to seek out his younger brother Alphonse, who happens to be standing a bit farther down the hall. Edward walks a littler faster towards him, and Alphonse can already tell that his older brother isn't all that pleased with whatever he was told by the Colonel.

"Hi Brother! What did colonel have to say?" Alphonse said, trying to lighten Edward's noticeably bad mood.

"We have to travel a few cities over to see about some soon to be state alchemist.." Edward says with an annoyed tone, his arms still crossed.

"What's wrong? That doesn't sound too bad." Alphonse blurted out, deciding on not beating around the bush with his brothers new foul mood.

"I just feel like that bastard enjoys having someone doing his dirty work! This is ridiculous! We came to him, why cant she?" Edward hissed, obviously working himself up, as he had a fist clenched that he was moving around in front of him as he let his bitter words fall out carelessly.

"Oh its a girl? Do you know how old she is?" Alphonse said, trying to change the subject if only slightly.

"Huh.. I didn't think to ask.. Maybe I am hard heade-..." Edward began to reply, almost lost in thought as he seems to be trailing off but suddenly stops his words quickly.

"Brother..." Alphonse said laughing at what Edward had just almost said about himself.

"I didn't mean that!" Edward snaps.

Alphonse has a little laugh, as Edward works on straighting out his coat, from what seemed like out of frustration.

"Alright lets just get moving before it gets too late.." Edward says in a sigh, before simply walking past Alphonse to travel to the exit of Central Command.

Edward and Alphonse board the train, after waiting for a few minutes, they can't help but notice that not many people are even getting on for this trip. Maybe one or two people boarded, but where in different carts of the train.

"I'm going to guess where we are heading too isn't all that fun" Edward says, almost trying to sound sure of his earlier, more than sour mood.

"What Do you mean Ed?" Alphonse asks, his voice laced with his usual innocent sound.

"Well the lack of people on this train seems to predict a boring city." Edward says, with his regular know it all tone, holding a palm up as if to make some unneeded gesture for his words.

"Geez brother lighten up. Are you really that upset about going to meet a girl?" Alphonse says, trying to tease his older brother, for if he is going to be in an as mood it might as well be funny.
