"T-tomorrow?" Edward stammers as he stares at you with big eyes.
"Yup." you respond quickly and surely, calling the shots.
"Why not now?" Edward asks, whining and almost sulking before he even finished his question.
"You can stay here for the night, I'm making dinner." your father says sternly, backing up your wishes.
"Lets just wait until morning, maybe (y/n) needs to go through her things." Alphonse almost whispers to Edward, showing consideration for your wishes too.
"Yeah yeah, whatever. I still don't wanna be here.." Edward responds equally as quiet, wishing he could just leave this place now.
You turn around quickly, then run off to go and prepare yourself for your new found journey. Before you even reach your bed room door, your mind is already crashing thoughts all around your brain, you decide you should start thinking of what you might want to wear on your journeys first. You run your fingers slowly along your dark brown wooden dresser, touching ever scrape and scratch on the surface, until thinking of this decision as a whole. You never guessed anyone would come looking for you, your pretty young, and you haven't even traveled that much. You begin to think that perhaps you aren't ready, but maybe the FullMetal Alchemist could help you. He was a famous Alchemist after all, even people from your small town have heard of him. Maybe he could teach you something. You let your legs bend you into a seat on the floor where you were once standing, then you begin to loose yourself in you thoughts.
"So what's you boys story? Already in the military at such a young age?" your father asks, breaking the silence unable to hide that he is interested in the boys.
"Well I'm not, just my brother." Alphonse answers at the absence of Edward's voice in the air.
"Pretty good at alchemy, huh?" your dad asks looking at Edward.
"What about (y/n)?" Edward asks back, without answering your father's question.
"Oh, yeah, its pretty amazing, I don't know where she even picked it up, but she was always a book worm. She would always make little things for me. I never knew it would come to this though.." Your father trails off slowly in his answer to Edward's question.
"Do You know why she would want to become a dog of the military?" Edward asks, not understanding why anyone would just want to be in the military of Amestris.
"Well I believe we met this Mustang before, on one of our trips to Central. And knowing (y/n), she is always showing off her skills in some way." Your father says, slightly laughing and joking about your way with people.
"I'd like to see that for myself." Edward says through his thoughts, that almost seemed to be drowning him.
"I'm suuure you would brother" Alphonse says drawing out the word sure, while he starts poking his brother a few times.
"What does that even mean Al?" Edward snaps out of his many thoughts instantly at his brother's words.
"nothing brother." Alphonse says laughing.
"You two boys sure are a funny group." your father chuckles at the sight of the two boys bickering.
"What the hell are you going on about?" Edward quickly drops that fight, then turns his glare to your father.
"Brother I don't think he meant anything wrong in that." Alphonse reassures his brother, as he always tries to when Edward gets worked up.
"I think (y/n) Will enjoy traveling with you is all." Your father says, with a hint of sadness in his words.
