You immediately jump onto the bed that was in the room that Winry was kind enough to let you use during your stay here, in Resembool. Upon finally getting comfortable, you realized you had actually left your suit case downstairs, making you further notice that you were still in your clothes. You take a few minutes to decide if you should make a run for it downstairs and fetch your bag, or just deal with your regular outfit for the night.

"I should just go grab it, its not like everyone is fighting or something.." you mumble to yourself, still thinking on how awkward your first night here was with everyone, in vastly different ways at that.

You begin to gaze upon the room you had failed to notice in your earlier anxiety filled state. It wasn't anything too fancy, but it had that hard to get, home like cozy touch of course. Simple soft white sheets, lying underneath a fuzzy blue blanket. The walls were painted a nice light pretty green. For such a cozy room, it did still have a few tools and metal parts lying around, but that really did just seem to be the norm for this residence. You spend a couple of minutes gazing around this room you were suddenly in, before deciding to get up, and head towards the door. You place your hand onto the old metal doorknob, then you hear a voice. It's Edward's, you set your war against the door, but despite your efforts you cant make out what he is saying, who is he even talking too? You rethink your decision to go downstairs, remembering he was very much, the last person that you wanted to encounter right now. You were stupid enough to go and kiss him on the cheek, then you completely break down in front of him AND Alphonse... You can't help but wonder what the hell is wrong with you, awakening so many different emotions in everyone in one night. Even though you undoubtedly feel like a burden on everyone here, you decide to go get your bag anyway. Upon some quick reasoning with yourself, you decide, you do need it and plus you want it, so you might as well not start being such a coward now. This isn't even a big deal, none of it, you should start trusting these people if you claim that you like them so much. With that last thought, with an accompanying inch of courage, you slowly open the door, to find no-one in the hall. Despite feeling a tad bit encouraged by your thoughts, you are actually thankful that nobody was in that hallway right now. With that you let go of your thoughts for a moment and you begin to make your way down the hall, soon looking at the top of the stairs, you start making your way down them as slow as possible to avoid letting any creaks escape the old wooden surfaces as you stepped down them.

Once you reach the bottom of the stairs you slowly take a peak into the front room, trying ever so hard to not be noticed by anyone who could be inhabiting the room. You can clearly see one of Edward's boots, he must be on the sofa. In an attempt to move quickly away from the side of the wall, from the first step, you stumble and fall forward. You may have gotten too flushed, and moved a little too forcibly.

"Ouch..." you mutter rubbing your head.

"(y/n) What are you doing?" Edward says, obviously amused by your clumsiness.

"I um. I left my bag down here." you say with a half smile still holding your head.

"How did you manage to fall? It didn't sound like you where very high up on the steps." Edward says, still sounding amused.

"I wasn't checking to see if anyo- I just did alright!" you respond quickly, hating your natural honesty.

Edward moves his body from the sofa, then slowly makes his way to where you were now sitting on the floor.

"(y/n).. It's okay, you can calm down. No-one here judges you." Edward says, smiling while beginning to hold your shoulder.

You go to look at him for a few seconds, thinking of how thankful you were to hear those words right now. But did he actually mean them? I mean ofcourse anyone would comfort someone to make things less awkward, it doesn't always mean he actually, and genuinely cares. Realizing that you were now staring into his eyes, lost in your momentary thought, light pink brushes onto your cheeks and you quickly look away.

"Thanks Ed." you say, before quickly rising, going and grabbing your bag then running back up the stairs as swiftly as you could.

"(y/n) wait.." Ed says, staring at the stairs even after you disappeared.

You keep going without hesitation, acting as though you didn't hear what Edward had just said. You move yourself into your room and close the door, you sigh sliding your body down and against the door. Now sitting against the door, you wonder if you should have listened to him, maybe he just wanted to talk. This isn't like you, why are you acting this way all of a sudden. Maybe you are scared to talk to anyone right now, because you aren't even sure what is up with yourself at the moment.

"I'm not usually this silly, what is wron-" you where mumbling to yourself, before you feel and hear a tap on the door you were now leaning on.

"(y/n) are you in there?" Ed asks quietly.

"Yes.." you reply even more quiet.

"Can I come in for a minute?" Edward asks sounding concerned.

"Why?" you ask quickly.

"Well if You let me talk to you, you would find the answer to that, won't you?" Edward asks, sounding almost irritated.

You giggle at how that boy always seems to act, You then get up to open the door for him. Though as you place your hand on the doorknob, you decide to mess with him, if only slightly.

"fine, you can come in, just one second!" you say, before running over to the window and opening it as quietly as you can.
