Dan Howell nervously played with his hands as the call connected. He was elated, yet absolutely terrified. What if Phil found him annoying? What if he was lying and wasn't who he said he was? Dan was panicking, and that was a fact.

But before he could cancel the call, Phil Lester's face popped up onto the screen, and Dan Howell then knew he was anything but fake.

His blue eyes scanned Dans face on the screen, wearing a small smile as he did so. Dan was mesmerized by his midnight black hair and the way it nicely contrasted along with his pale skin.

That's how they spent the first entire two minutes of the call. No joke. Two minutes of staring at each other, trying to process the fact that they are both real, live people who had just met on the Internet one month ago.

Phil was the first to speak.

"As nice as it is to just stare at your face, SaturnDan, don't you think a little talking should be involved?"

Dan laughed, and then looked back at Phil on the screen.

"I mean, talking is fun, but I find much more pleasure in staring at your face, VenusPhil." Dan said, inwardly cringing and wishing he'd thought of a better reply.

Phil laughed, and his eyes crinkled sweetly and he stuck his tongue out of the corner of his mouth, and it was quite possibly the cutest thing Dan had ever seen. He couldn't help but smile at the blue eyed boy, he just had a joyous aura surrounding him.

"I think we should talk. I find pleasure in staring at you as well, but I'd much rather hear your voice again." He said to Dan, tilting his head slightly as he looked at him. "Your voice is beautiful."

Dan knew he was turning red, so he did the first thing that came to mind, which was smiling down at his lap, fiddling with some random pen he'd found lying on his bed next to where he was sitting.

And now it was Phil's turn to be completely in awe of Dan Howell's presence.

He's so pretty. Phil couldn't help but think. Everything about him is so fragile. So delicate. He's suppose too be some hot tumblr grunge guy, but in reality he's so pretty.

He's not pretty, actually. Phil thought.

He's breathtaking in every single way possible. If they were in the same room, Phil probably wouldn't be able to simply not kiss him. He was too sweet.

Phil was shaken out of his trance when Dan looked back up at the screen and grinned.

"So Philip, I say we play 20 questions. We need too know more about each other, don't you think?"

Phil nodded and smiled. "Definitely." He said. "I want to know everything there is to know about you, SaturnDan."

Dan was able to stop his shy blush from coming this time. He just crookedly smiled at Phil while thinking of the questions he would ask.

Over the next 2 hours, the boys bonded over practically everything. They had so much in common, they both liked the same tv shows, music, food, and shared similar dreams for the future too.

Some may ask, "2 hours? Why does it take so much time to play a game of 20 questions?" Which is a good question indeed, but there is really a rather simple answer.

Besides the few minute simple staring sessions they'd randomly have, they loved talking to each other so much they got off topic about almost everything. They could go from having one conversation about Muse (a band they both loved.) to a laughter filled conversation about anything silly that was on their minds.

They could do this because they'd just clicked together so easily, and got along so well. It was almost as if they were put on this earth just to meet each other, just to become friends.

By the time it was a little over 2 hours, Phil had yawned.

"Tired?" Dan asked casually, raising an eyebrow at the time. 11:30? This was ridiculously early to Dan, mostly because he stayed up till 4 AM practically every day of his life.

"Yeah, I am. Mind if I go to bed?" Phil had asked, stretching.

"Of course you can, you don't need to ask me permission to hang up, Phil." Dan chuckled, shaking his head to himself. Phil really was too cute.

Phil flashed him a tired smile and said:
"I'm really glad we got to do this, Dan. It's nice to know who you are a lot more and I'm glad we've become friends."

Dan smiled back. "I'm happy too, Phil. This was fun. Can you skype tomorrow?" Dan then inwardly cringed again at how clingy he sounded. Did he seriously just ask Phil that? After all of this?

"I-I mean- if you- if you don't uh- if you don't want-" Dan was cutoff by Phil interrupting him and saying:

"We'll definitely skype tomorrow. We'll most likely text a lot tomorrow too, eh?" He laughed again, that wonderful laugh that he'd been showing Dan for the past 2 hours. Dan would never get enough of it.

"I'm getting plenty of SaturnDan in my life, aren't I?" Phil playfully asked.

Dan lightly laughed. "Not really a good thing, is it." He had said, expecting Phil to laugh along. But after he had said that, Phil had immediately turned serious, even if it was just for a few moments.

"Listen. Don't think so lowly of yourself. I will never be able to get enough of you. You are absolutely fascinating in every single way possible, and everything about you takes my breath away. You're beautiful, bold, and deserve only the best. I will tell you this over and over until you'll have to believe me, you got that SaturnDan?" Phil asked, giving Dan a look that said: You'd better say yes or I will not hesitate to smack more sense into you.

Dan only nodded. Phil's words had made him feel fuzzy inside, and he let his grin slowly grow wider and wider.

Phil smiled back, before letting out one more cute yawn that Dan had to restrain himself from cooing over.

"Good. I'm gonna sleep now."

Dan smiled at Phil again, watching as the boys eyes drooped closed and snapped open a few times.

"Okay. G'night VenusPhil."

"Good night SaturnDan."
