It's Davie's first day at school. He's the only griffon in his class and that has him worried. He's surrounded by ponies who could easily bully him. He's scared and nervous.
At recess, Davie is picked on by some of the other colts. He flies off and hides. He's soon found by Screwball who quickly befriends him and helps him confront his bullies. Screwy actually scares the bullies away. Davie can't thank her enough. Davie considers himself lucky to have a sweet filly like Screwball sticking up for him. She's the first friend he's ever made that is not a griffin and that's something really important indeed.
