One day as Twilight is going through her books, she stumbles across one titled The Prophesy of the Alicorn Prince. She is taken with it and immediately starts reading it. "As a young king and a young queen once ruled Equestria before the time of Luna, Celestia and before eternal night, they gave birth to a young prince who was an Alicorn. His name was Prince Lightwing. He took his position for granted though and fell into the pit of TarTarUs where he became Prince Darkwing. The parents then wrote a rule that they sealed with magic that only females shall become Alicorns. Any male that becomes an Alicorn, which is still possible yet unlikely, will be cursed or fall to the pit of TarTarUs where evil will fester and grow within him. Any Prince that manages to escape this fate shall be sealed as the only Prince righteous under the spell cast oh so long ago," she stops reading there for that's as far as the book goes. "My son has broken a spell and is righteous under the spell," gasps Twilight in surprise and awe, but she can't tell him. This is one prophesy that is better read than told. She definitely knows that much.
