While all the royals are in exile, the Pegasi have problems of their own fighting the Great Pegasian War against who other than Angelous and the Angel Ponies. The war rages on for moons at a time and before long the princesses are allowed to come out and fight alongside the Pegasi in the war against the Angel Ponies. The two sides have made allies. The Angel ponies made allies with the Skorkles and the Changelings. The Pegasi made allies with the earth ponies and unicorns. The war rages on for several more moons until it ends with the pegasi victorious over their foes. This just proved to the Pegasi that there is nothing better than friendship and without it wars can end as soon as they begin (or not considering it took about 250 moons before the war drew to its final end).
