The first battle starts in the skies, it's the Angel Ponies fighting against Chrysalis, her changelings, the princesses, and the Pegasi. The unicorns and others help from the ground and send up amo and supplies whenever they are needed by a hot air balloon manned by Pinkie. This is the first of the many grueling battles of the war: The Battle at Ponyville.
