"So I'm going to ask you and you're going to be real honest" Aryan murmured in a cold voice glaring at her.."what's wrong Aryan? Why are you behaving this way? What's gotten into you? You're scaring me!" Sanyukta tried hard to look for some answers looking into his eyes.

"Don't. Don't look at me like that. Don't look at me like you're concerned. All of this has been such a big lie !! I thought I knew everything about you,that you shared it all with me! I didn't think you were like one of those girls !! Who lie because they love the attention ..." He wasn't finished and Sanyukta had already started walking away. She hated where he was going with this ..but she didnt wanna yell because she knew something was bothering him..

"Oh so you're accepting it? You can't even stand and hear it !!" He Taunted holding her hand..stopping her as she left. And she jerked it off real bad. "Don't get me started Aryan ! Don't mistaken my silence. Giving in and walking away are entirely different thing. !!" She shot at him in her usual Sanyukta Agarwal mode! She hated when someone questioned her character.

"Good , cz I'm not going to let you do either! Face me! " he hurled her back into place and that's when she lost all cool !! Who the hell did he think he was? "I don't have to justify or clarify to you what kind of a girl I am! You're judgement itself proves the kind of human and friend you are! I'm not going to stand here and get insulted. Go hit yourself with a brick,probably you'll be back to your senses" she said pushing him hard..not wanting to deal with drama early in the morning.

She had no idea what this was about or how serious it was going to get!

Meanwhile Shanaya found the ring and put it on her finger! "Here!! Isn't it beautiful?" She said facing him ,now observing every Little muscle of his! He really didn't care about accessories and wanted to avoid the girl talk but he just glanced at it for her sake. And when he did ,he could've sworn the earth shifted under him.

Honestly Shanaya didn't even need to concentrate much. He had already teared up,his eyes fixed at the ring. That was the ring he could recognise even if all of the life inside him was sucked away..

"I know this ring isn't even expensive..Infact I made it last night with many different metals in the lab, but this is all I have for now,will you marry me Sanyukta?

I promise you ,next year I'll get you one those expensive nice ones,really " Randhir had uttered in sheer love and innocence. He had never been so sure about Sanyukta and him as much as he was today. He wanted just her,only her,no one else. She was and would remain his only family ,his person.

"If I wanted normal ,I wouldn't be with you Randhir. And don't say that ! You know I value this ring more than anything else in the world !

And next year? I can't wait that much! It will be sooner!!" She had spoken overwhelmed by his proposal ,the set up ,the effort ,all of it.

It was the day they held so close to their hearts! No amount of time would erase that or even come close to changing that. Sure they had differences ,and couldn't look at each other like they used to before,or weren't even together,but that day,that ring ,that moment would live with forever,even if they wanted to run away from it..

"Shekhu !! Did you like it!" She spoke loudly on purpose this time. She needed him to respond. This story needed a conclusion! His hand moved up Involuntarily..he still hadn't snapped out. His fingers carefully touched the edges of the ring confirming his worst fear. It was that ring. It was his ring. The one he gave to his Sanyukta.

He didn't know when a smiled adorned his lips..it all flashed before him again and again. What she had said. What he had said. How happy they were. He could probably say he loved her the Most That Day. Without inhibitions,without insecurity,without the fear of ever having to live without her,without the uncertainty of their future together. The day he wasn't afraid to tell her that she's the One.

Then suddenly he observed that the fingers that the ring was sitting on,wasn't right. It didn't feel right at all. It started to gnaw on his insides,bug his head ,make his heart restless. And he started pulling the ring out "Owww Shekhu what the hell! It's hurting me,what are you doing!!Leave it!"

"How dare you? How could you? Why are you wearing this! Get it off!" He yelled in pain. And she heard it. Sanyukta heard his voice cracking..what was going on inside? She turned her frame wanting to go calm Randhir down instantly. "I said stop! " Aryan barked now not believing her lack of attention ..

"But Randhir..something is going on inside Aryan ,he..they might need us..it sounds bad,he sounds hurt..I need to.."she started fumbling trying to open the door. Tensed already.
