Kali

"Come in!" I sit up in the bed as the door opens, Liz walking inside. "Hey Liz..." I rub my eyes and try to fully wake up. Liz walks silently over to the bed, sitting down on it.

"There is a spy for the AOO with us." Suddenly all the sleep leaves my body.

"How do you know?" Liz leans in close.

"James told me, he wants it kept secret and we're the only ones he trusts." I nod and get out of bed, putting on my jacket.

"Okay, tell me who it is and I will deal with them." I turn back to Liz to tell her something but realize no one is there. "Liz?" I walk over to the bed, looking on the other side of it.

"Right here." I turn around, letting out a short scream before the pipe connects with my head. I fall to the ground, blood trickling down my face. Liz leans down in front of me and smiles as her skin begins to change, mine now replacing her. I use the last of my strength to try to sit up, gold hair falling over my face. I grasp at it, horrified that my brunette hair was now gone. "Thank you Kali Lane." Her voice sounds like mine as she smiles again before walking out the apartment room, closing the door behind her.

I walk down the hallway, nodding to the others that are still awake.

"Kali?" I turn and smile at a man walking up to me, his green eyes looking over me. "You said you needed to sleep." I nod slowly and step closer to him, whispering.

"I got a special assignment from James, there is an AOO spy with us." He moves closer to me, his eyes wide with worry.

"There is? Who?" I quickly search Kali's thoughts for anything about this man, his name popping up in seconds.

"Logan I don't want to get you involved. I don't want you to be hurt." Logan moves closer to me, pulling me close to him.

"I don't want you to get hurt either. You are all I care about Kali, I love you." I hold in my disgust, and the thought to murder him, as I hug Logan. I pull away and look up at his green eyes.

"I need to do this on my own Logan." He nods at me.

"Okay but I will be close by so I can help if you get into trouble."

"Thanks." I smile at him before turning and walking down the hallway, nearing her room. I stop at the door, Logan hiding in the shadows of the hallway.

"Liz?" I knock on the door three times. As I hear her come to the door I realize my mistake. Shit, no one knew she was in here... The door swings open, a broken pipe plunging into my shoulder as I jump back.

"Kali!" Logan charges out of the shadows and tackles Liz, the pipe falling to the ground.

"It's me Logan! It's Liz!" Logan looks down, confused, at Liz. Poor girl, she doesn't realize that she looks like herself again.

"I know who you are Liz! Why would you try to kill Kali?!" Liz looks at me, wide-eyed. She kicks Logan off of her, Logan slamming into the wall. The pain in my arm increases as I punch her in the face, stopping her from getting to the pipe. I kick it down the hall before kicking Liz to the floor.

"That is not Kali!" Liz struggles to speak through the blood flowing down from her nose. "It's a girl named Thana, she has the ability to change her appearance!" Logan stands up and takes out his Crimson, putting it to her head.

"Is this the spy Kali?"

"Yes but hand me the gun." Logan turns to me, wide-eyed.
