Two Days Remaining
Elizabeth
I wince as the soldiers push me into the room, a woman sitting at her desk. She looks up and smiles at me, her white dress shifting slightly with her dark hair. I slowly stand up, the soldiers moving into the room to stand by the door.
"Please sit down Elizabeth Lyrane." The woman motions to the chair in front of her, smiling at me kindly. I don't move from my spot, keeping my eyes trained on her. She sighs and places her hands on top of each other on the papers in front of her. Her blue eyes look up and down my body before landing on my face, a glint of amusement coming into her eyes. "Let's not be enemies okay? I want us to be friends Elizabeth."
"Liz." The woman looks at me, clearly confused. "That's my name, its Liz not Elizabeth." The woman nods, her smile coming back to her face.
"My name is Katherine, nice to meet you Liz." She holds out her hand for me to shake but pulls it back to her when I don't move. "Liz I really want us to be friends, we can do so much good together."
"I won't ever work with you Katherine, you are probably t-torturing James as we speak..." Katherine frowns and stands up, walking over to stand in front of me. She places both of her hands on my shoulders, looking at me sadly.
"I see Plava told you about me then, unless James did. I won't torture him though. I am not that kind of person." My hands clench into fists as she continues to smile at me.
"What kind of person are you then? One of your people greeted us by saying 'Welcome into the arms of death' or something like that!" Katherine sighs and shakes her head.
"That was only made for effect, I was excited and am sorry for saying that as a greeting." I roll my eyes but don't move as her hands stay on my shoulder.
"I don't trust you Katherine."
"Has he told you about me?" She takes her hands off of my shoulders and walks towards her desk, leaning against it and turning to face me. I shake my head and watch her cautiously. Katherine nods and looks down to her feet. With her gaze no longer on me, my eyes search the room for any kind of weapon before landing on the letter opener next to Katherine's hand. "I'm his mother." My eyes shoot back to Katherine, Katherine now looking at me.
"What?" Katherine stands up and walks towards me, stopping a couple feet away.
"I am his mother Liz... My name is Katherine Nightlock."
"Why would you do this then?" Katherine looks at me, confused again. "Why would become the leader of the Alliance of Overgaard if you are James' mother?" She sighs and shakes her head.
"I do everything for him Liz. He is becoming a monster, is a monster." My hand moves without warning, Katherine gasping in alarm as my hand connects with the side of her face. The soldiers grab onto my arms and pull me back as I try to rip Katherine a part. Katherine smiles at me as I am pulled out of the room. "James is going to pay for that now." I scream as the door shuts and I am continued to be pulled down the hallway.

Six Years Ago
Kali
Katherine's face contorts into one of pain as a sword goes into her stomach, the tip touching my stomach. The sword is pulled out, Katherine falling to the floor as James drops the sword onto the ground. James falls to the ground, crying as he looks at Katherine's body. I don't move as I look at the cuts on his body, tools spread across the floor behind him.
"James..." He looks up at me, his eyes glowing red. I take a step back from him, the glow now becoming a dark red. "James its okay... C-Calm down..." He stands and moves towards me quickly, grabbing my wrist tightly. I cry out from his tight grip, his eyes boring into mine.
