Luke
I shut my locker and began to walking Science. I actually really hate science. It's so boring. The teacher just blabs on about stupid things that aren't even on that topic.
And then when he does actually start teaching something, he's so bad at it. He leaves the slide for like 2 seconds and then when we yell at him for switching it he's like "guys don't worry all you need to know is the formula" and I didn't even get to finish the formula.
So very annoying.
A pro is that there's this super hot dude in there. Football player. There's something so sweet about staring at a jock in the front of class, knowing you'll never have that.
I sat in my desk and pulled out my journal and began on the bell ringer.
It wasn't long until the bell for class to start rang and the teacher walked to the front of the class.
"I'll give you guys 5 more minutes on the bell ringer then we'll get started" he sat back in his chair and I rolled my eyes
The bell ringer was literally finding a definition. How is that going to take 5 minutes??
I swear this dude has no time management. Every time, and i mean Every. Time. He gets cut off because of the bell.
"Okay class, you can go ahead and put away your journals, you won't be needing them."
Someone raised their hand, "aren't we going to go over the bell ringer??" They asked
"You know actually, there's this statistic on the effectiveness of bell ringers and honestly-" I groaned and laid my head down
There he goes..
-
The bell rung, ending the longest hour of my life. Once again in science I learned nothing. Lovely.
I had already gotten the things I needed for the last two blocks of the day so I could just easily walk to the other classes.
I smiled at the math teacher, Mrs. Remington and she smiled back, I absolutely loved this teacher. She was one I could always go to talk to.
I walked over to the crate that held our journals but quickly stopped when I noticed Calum. Another class with him? I guess that's cool.
With my journal, I sat back down and started copying and solving the bell ringers. This class was pretty easy always just, bell ringers, homework, new lesson. Same thing everyday, I like it.
"Hey is anyone sitting here?" A familiar voice asked. I turned and looked being greeted by Calum's huge, almost contagious, smile. I shook my head and he sat.
"It's nice knowing you're in this class, the whole trying to get friends thing isn't really working" he laughed. I frowned slightly, feeling a little bad until some kids walked over
"What up Calum how's the day been treating you??" Soccer players. Yeah sure Calum, making new friends was real hard.
"It's been alright I guess" he replied.
"Well make sure to stop by the gym, I think the team would love having you" Zach, the captain of the team said.
"Yeah, I'll think about it" Calum smiled and they walked off. I raised my eyebrows and looked off, I don't think me and Calum as friends is gonna last long.
"So how's your day been?" He asked. I turned to him and he smiled, this kid smiles a lot.
"Uh, good?" I lied, I dropped my pencil onto my book and looked at him, shamefully enjoying the attention of another boy. An attractive boy at that.
"That's good, mines been pretty busy, I mean but that would be expected wouldn't it?" He laughed. I smiled a bit and nodded.
-
The bell rang cutting off the last question on the slides and everyone got up. Mrs. Remington groaned and said goodbye to everyone with an annoyed tone.
I closed my books and headed for the door but Calum stopped me. "Hey what class do you have next?" He asked, pulling out what I'd assume was his schedule.
"Music" i replied.
His face lit up, "sweet I have it too, walk me there?" He raised an eyebrow.
I simply nodded and waved goodbye to Mrs. Remington. She raised an eyebrow and tilted her head a bit at him with a smirk on her face, I quickly shook my head with wide eyes and a blush creeping up my cheeks, I could tell what she was trying to say.
Mrs. Remington was actually one of the first people-- no The first person I told about my sexuality. Don't judge , I literally had no one, and I felt my secret was safe with her.
"Um.. Luke?" Calum waved, I hummed and looked his way. I didn't even realize he was talking... Oops?
"I was just going to ask.. the music room says 334 and we're going closer to the 100's""That schedule's a lie. The school almost cut the music elective until some weirdo band kids started a petition not to, and now we got put in the basement" a smile crept onto my face thinking about the fact that I signed that petition with like 20 times with random names.
"Did you sign the petition?" He asked, almost like he read my thoughts.
I waited a sec, worried of what he'd think of me, "Um.. Yeah, I did" my face grew hot.
He smiled once again, "that's good. I would of too, music is too important to let go of" I raised an eyebrow and looked over at him.
He's really turning out to be someone other than I thought he was
