chapter 16 : Friends again?

“ It’s not “ I replied , what the heck was that ? did I just said the opposite of what I was thinking, okay I’m sorry it’s probably the butterflies  that were in my stomach because I was too damn close to him.

“ I’m really glad , thank you for giving me another chance ‘  he gave me one of his ridiculously charming smiles, Well I’m not glad , I just took one of the most stupid decisions .

We kept  dancing in a comfortable silence , I tried to remember every single feeling that I felt ,  because that moment was priceless, I could stay in this position for the rest of my life without getting tired or bored .

Of course something wonderful like this wouldn’t last for ever because Adem’s friends called him , he excused his self and went with them.

I turned to make my way towards Marry and her friend ( déjà vu ) , actually I think that there is more than friendship between them because I saw the way the he looked at her and how she gets so nervous around him , he seems like a really nice guy and I will be more than  happy if they  go out together.

I bumped into a hard chest and my eyes fell on his frown face , “ why did you lie to me? “ Lucas asked with a pissed off tone , well it won’t be a good idea if I pretend that I don’t know what he is talking about, I’m obliged to explain right now.

“I’m really sorry luke I didn’t know how to tell you that I used to love one of your friends okay “  I replied , “ and I got over it now “.

“and you’re still lying ? I saw the way you looked at him , how your eyes were shinning and how the smile didn’t  leave you lips when you were dancing with him , I still don’t know why you didn’t want to tell me “ he was sure of every word he was saying , is my love for him that obvious?

“ I don’t know, I really tried to forget him and turn the page so I didn’t want to bring the subject again” I said sincerely , “ Did you succeed?” he questioned me while looking into my eyes so that he could detect my lie.

“ No , I  trying though “ I replied trying to believe myself , is letting him into my life again considered as trying ?.

“ Well I won’t forgive you until you tell me the entire story “ I sighed when he finally formed a smile, he is not mad at me for lying anymore.

We made our way to the middle of the restaurant as we began to sing happy birthday to Adem, I didn’t have the chance to say goodbye because he was too busy with his escorts, they can’t leave him for just a second, I have to go before making a Crime, Shit Marry is nowhere to be found, I really don’t want to bother her but it was time to leave , it’s getting really late .

I I grabbed my phone from the bag to call her when I got a text message from her telling me that I shouldn’t wait for her, well she deserves some fun.

“Do You need a ride” Lucas proposed to me , “ No thank you “ I replied with a grin .

“ you have to stop lying because you are a terrible liar “ he smirked leading me outside.

“ when do I get to know your story ?” he asked facing me when we arrived to my neighborhood, “ When time is right “ I replied with a serious tone .

“ I really hate that sentence , we had a deal remember ? I won’t accept your apologies if you tell me “ he said giving me a small wave and then he left.

My phone started ringing , I checked it  before answering,then I saw marry’s number,  “ what the hell happened in there ? “ she screamed sounding really happy “ Slow music is certainly your thing girl “ .

“ I should be the one who asks since you disappeared and bailed on me “ I joked , “ Meet me in my house and we’ll talk about it .

That kind of conversations shouldn’t be on the phone , we should talk about it for hours and hours  giving all the silly details.
