Once we finish dinner all of us go to the living room to decide on a movie.

"I had picked out a few for you guys to choose from," I pull out the stack me and Jenna picked out a bit earlier.

"Annabelle, Pitch Perfect 2, Jurassic World, or Insidious," Jenna scans through the movies while reading aloud.

"Anything you guys want," Daniel looks at the covers of the movies and then sits on the end of our couch. We had two single chairs and one long couch in our living room area.

"INSIDIOUS!" Trevor yells and holds the movie above his head.

Jenna and I share a look of agreement.

"Of course, you pick the scary one," Daniel mutters.

"Oh don't worry Danny boy, I can hold your hand if you get too scared," Trevor gains another slap to the face.

"If we are going to watch a scary movie we are going to do it right," I smirk and then move to our window and shut the blinds. I didn't want any light showing so it would be scarier.

I didn't close the blinds without noticing the huge storm taking place outside.

"Guys, look at the storm outside," I stare outside and watch the leaves on the trees being whipped violently around. The rain poured in heavy layers and shattered the ground like little bullets.

I have always loved the rain. In some ways, it makes me feel calm and peaceful. Other times it matches my heart. Tattered and mangled, like the how the world is after heavy rainfall.

"Quit looking at the rain and shut the blinds already," Jenna knows how fascinated I am by the rain and gets frustrated sometimes.

I shut the blinds and turn back to see the movie starting. Trevor sits in one of the single chairs and so does Jenna. That leaves one spot next to Daniel.

Oh, joy.

Jenna sends a wink my way and turns to press play on our film.

"I just hope the power doesn't go out," Trevor comments.

"I swear to holy crap if you just jinxed us Trevor-" Jenna gets cut off by the power going out. "Are you kidding me!"

As soon as the TV went off, I jump up. Darkness didn't scare me, the suddenness did. Kind of like a jump scare in a movie. I landed directly in Daniel's lap.

"Sorry," Blush coats my cheeks in the dark and I brush my hair behind my ear.

"Don't be sorry Princess," He says using my old nickname he came up with. "We will stay together until the lights come back on."

"I must be magic or something!" Trevor shouts in the dark. "I hope for a giant pizza!"

I couldn't see her, but I know that Jenna is shaking her head. "You legit just ate!"

"And it was pizza!" I shout back to Trevor.

The room was pitch black and I was unable to see anyone. Jenna and I shut all the blinds to up the scare factor for our movie. Now the minimal light coming from the windows was unavailable.

Daniel's arms were still wrapped around my body, giving me warmth and comfort.

"This is going to be fun," Trevor chuckles along with Daniel.

"Come on, Trevor." I could hear Jenna get out of her seat. "Let's go see if we can find a flashlight or candle or something."

"Why me?" Trevor groans.
