Work, work, work.

All I can say is that my nursing job dominated my past few weeks.

It was the beginning of October. All the leaves changed from greens and yellows, to warm reds and oranges. It was getting colder so I wore a sweater as I walked through the park with Daniel.

I took a deep breath and could practically smell the pumpkin spice. Or it was my Bath and Bodyworks lotion.

Daniel held my hand. It was Saturday and a walk with Daniel was a perfect to clear both of our heads.

The emails came nonstop. The emails with awful, terrible pictures edited to make Daniel and I look bad. Both of us deleted them as soon as they came with no regard towards them.

Daniel's text tone went off and I grab it from his coat pocket.

"You have nothing to hide?" I look up at Daniel's eyes.

"Nope." He pops the 'p.' "I am as loyal as Henri."

Henri was my new best friend. He moved to mine and Jenna's apartment. He loved to cuddle on my lap and hiss at Jenna. No matter how hard she tried Jenna could not get Henri to like her.

She likes dogs better anyway.

I look at Daniel's phone and the screen presented a text from Zach. When Daniel wasn't consumed with work or myself, he hung out with Zach and Trevor a lot.

All of them have grown closer and become better friends. They would never admit it if you asked them.

"Zach is asking us to come to a party tonight. Apparently Alyssa is throwing a fancy cocktail party for a big announcement."

"Do you want to go?"

I laugh. "I'll take any excuse to make Jenna go shopping with me!"

Daniel chuckles and pulls me to his side. He kisses my forehead. "And I would love any excuse to see my girl in a sexy dress,"

I shove him away and we both dissolve into laughter.

"So we're going? The invite says we should arrive at seven sharp."

Daniel nods. "What do you think their big announcement is?"

"If this is a cocktail party, I wouldn't doubt that it means her parents will be there. My bet is on they're announcing their relationship."

"I heard about her parents. Hopefully they will give their blessings on the relationship."

"Like ours?"

Daniel smiles down at me as we round the corner back to my apartment. "Exactly."

Both of our parents are great friends and couldn't have been happier when they heard we were finally together. I did have to clarify with Daniel's mom that I hadn't cheated on Daniel.

We explained the fake email to Sandra. It was all in the past now.

What I heard back at the coffee shop lingered in my mind. I didn't know what to think about any of it. Alyssa's party was at the top of my priorities so I pushed the Jax and Allison event to the side.

"Do you want me to drive with you home?" I ask Daniel.

"About that," He reaches in his coat pocket and pulls out a key. "Isla Caprice Woods, will you move in with me?"

I pretend to think about it. Tapping my fingers on my chin, I watch as Daniel stands there nervously.

"Say something!"
