{Isla's POV}

~~~
Daniel walks us back to his grand piano and I stare at it once again in awe. The keys were so shiny and smooth and the top was black and perfect.
I bend down slowly careful not to disrupt anything this expensive. Before I make it all the way down I feel someone shove me and I fall on the floor, no one catching me this time.
"Ow!"
I look up to see it was Allison.
"I am so sorry!" Allison makes no move to help me up and situates herself on the piano. "I hope you don't mind me going first."
I hope you don't mind me throwing the first punch.
I was sick of Allison's attitude but quickly composed myself. I smiled and shook my head. "No problem."
I grab Daniel's hand and stand up, much to Allison's dismay. Daniel doesn't let go of my hand so I look up at him. All he does is give me a small smile and squeezes my hand.
Shaking the nerves of holding Daniel's hand, I stare at Allison expectantly.
"What song are you going to play?"
"Yeah, I haven't heard you practice much," Daniel adds.
"Where have you been? I practice all the time!" Allison sounded like she was trying to convince everyone. I roll my eyes. You can't get very far on the piano without lots of practice.
"Anyways, I will be playing Fur Elise by Beethoven." She says this as if she knows everything but in reality that is one of the most well known piano songs. The beginning section is fairly easy to learn but by the end, only advanced piano players can play it well.
Like me.
Not to toot my own horn but,
Toot, toot!
Allison starts by placing her hands on the piano hesitantly. Nervousness was written plainly on her face. I felt a wave of sympathy before remembering all the insults she snuck to me every chance she got.
I scowled.
Daniel nudged my shoulder and smiled. I couldn't stop the smile that overtook my face also.
Allison plucks a few of the keys which vaguely sound like Fur Elise. When she hits a wrong one, I cringe.
"Sorry, but I think I got it now." She takes a deep breath and begins.
I remember when I began piano, for the first few years I would get a new piece and would kinda sound like Allison does now.
Slowly she played the correct notes. It was slow, choppy and she would occasionally mess up, but it was ok.
When she finishes I almost do a facepalm when she answers my question.
"Do you know the rest?"
"What? I thought that was all of it."
She looks confused and I just shake my head.
"Well, you did great!" I look over at Daniel to see he is smiling also. His smile seems fake but I don't question it. "You wouldn't mind me going now, would you?"
Allison gets up but I can tell she doesn't want me to steal her thunder by doing better than her.
I sit down and take time to pay attention to the small details. The shiny leather bench, spotless top and perfect strings. I am sure not many people have used it before.
