Isla's POV

Pranking Jax was so worth it.

Daniel, Trevor, Jenna, Alyssa, Jax and I sit at a twenty four hour coffee shop, sipping espressos and laughing like there was no tomorrow.

Jax shook off our prank even though it would have scared the living daylights out of me. And, the more you get to know him, the less dumb he turns out to be.

Back to what happened.

We were all dressed in black and running toward the basement window we knew he would be at. His desk was sitting right below the window so he had the perfect view of what we threw down there.

Trevor had been holding it all along. He was the prank master after all. As soon as Alyssa pulled out her phone to record it, Trevor threw the water balloon full of baby spider eggs onto the window.

The balloon popped and a hundred little spiders crawled out. Jax saw them and screamed, so high pitched and loud that you could hear it from out here. I scream as well before laughing.

"Where did you get those Trevor? I don't think that is something you can get at the gag store!"

"My cousin owed me a favor," He turns his head to look at me and I am met with eyes full of humor. "They're harmless as long as you don't let them hatch more than one time in the same place."

The world may never know what goes on in the mind of Trevor.

I shake my head and turn to see Jax running towards us. He was trying to act cool, nonchalant like the spiders crawling everywhere didn't bother him.

It was a dead give away when he stood ten feet away from the spiders as we shone our flashlights on his face.

"Hey, Isla," He visibly gulped. We all laugh and high five, our prank a success.

"You met the rest of these fools at dinner," Daniel stepped forward and outstretched a hand to Jax. "I'm Daniel."

Jax doesn't smile. "I'm Jax." when he shakes Daniel's hand he immediately grabs it back as if something shocked him.

Or something did shock him.

"Daniel!" I slap Daniel hard on the neck as I see the shock buzzer on his hand. Meanwhile, Daniel was dying in laughter and Jax rubs his sore hand. "That was unacceptable! We agreed on one prank!"

I turn my back on my friends who cannot stop laughing and face Jax. "I'm sorry that this is the way my friends chose to meet up with you. They are obviously kids at heart."

Jax lets out a small chuckle. "I have to admit that was a good prank. But where in the world did you get those spiders?"

I shake my head and snicker. "I really don't want to know. How about we grab some coffee? I'm up for an all nighter if you guys are,"

We left the coffee shop sparked with caffeine. All of us headed back to mine and Jenna's apartment.

When we all walk in, Daniel stands at the door. I look at him expectantly. "Where do you think you're going? You crashed girls night, you better follow through."

Daniel just kisses my forehead. "You trust me right?" I nod apprehensively. "I have to meet someone. I'll pick you up for Sunday brunch tomorrow, okay?"

"Who wants to meet at two in the morning!"

"I'll tell you tomorrow." He kisses my cheek and walks back out. Halfway down the hall he shouts, "Trust me! I love you!"
