"What do you think?" Liam asks, looking at you as you admire the beautiful scenery in front of you.

The London Eye; there it was, in all its glory as you stared up at it in amazement.

This was somewhere you'd always wanted to visit, yet your fear of heights made you wonder if this was really a good idea, especially on your second date with Liam.

"Wow, it's wonderful." You reply, mesmerised by the detail.

"So, would you like to go on it?" He questions, a bright smile on his lips.

The thought of getting in one of the seats terrified you, and you wanted to say no, but looking back at Liam, you couldn't find the words to disagree.

"Yeah, sure." You exhale, offering a small smile.

"You're going to love this, Y/N, honestly, you will." Liam grins, in excitement as you simply fake a smile in return.

He took your hand in his, leading you towards the line of people who were queueing up to get on the ride.

People were smiling, and children were jumping up and down in excitement as they prepared to go on their first trip on the London Eye.

You should be feeling the same, but your nerves were getting the better of you as your heart began to race rapidly.

"Hey, are you okay?" Liam asks, noticing your tense shoulders as he squeezed your hand gently.

"Yeah, yeah, I'm fine." You assure him, earning a look of hesitation and concern from Liam.

"Are you sure?" He presses, not believing that your discomfort was nothing.

You nod, unable to form any more words without the thought of beginning to shake.

He gives you a look of disbelief, but drops the subject either way, and squeezes your hand gently in his.

The gentleness of his hand in yours should make you calmer, but it wasn't doing. If anything, it was simply making you feel more nervous.

You let out a shaky breath, trying to calm yourself down enough to do this without letting Liam know what was wrong.

The queue became smaller the longer you waited, and soon enough, you were stood at the front, waiting to be let on the ride along with the next set of people.

"Enjoy." The man who was operating the line smiles, letting you through as Liam pulls you inside one of the carts.

You sit across from Liam, happy to just stay here on the ground instead of being lifted high into the air, but apparently, that's not how this ride works.

"This is so great to be here with you today. I'm having a lovely time." Liam speaks, his brown eyes filled with genuine happiness and admiration.

"Me too." You manage, yet as the ride started and you did one of the worst things you could do by looking down, you find yourself shifting uncomfortably in your seat.

"Hey, are you sure you're alright? You've been quite ever since I suggested going on here." Liam quizzes, his brown eyes puddles of concern as he searched yours for the answer.

You nod, feeling your hands start to shake slightly as you refused to reply to him verbally, knowing that your voice would give it away.

He reaches out and grabs your hand, gently caressing your knuckles with his thumb as he tries to calm you down, because he thinks he knows you better than you know yourself.

"Y/N, what's wrong?" Liam asks, firmly, but all you can do is look down the more you go higher.

"Y/N?" You hear Liam faintly call, but his voice seems to be becoming more distant as you zone out, your heart beating so loud as your hands begun to shake in Liam's.

Your panicking thoughts and feelings were suddenly interrupted by the feel of warm, gentle lips pressing against yours.

His left hand came up to hold you against him as his other hand laid in yours.

Butterflies came out to play, as your nerves left and were instead replaced by excitement and distraction.

He pulled away, and you opened your eyes to be greeted with worried, but loving brown eyes.

"That was nice." He comments, a small blush on his cheeks as he tries to hide his smile.

"Y-yeah, it was." You stammer, unable to control your emotions at this precise moment in time.

"Are you alright?" He questions, refusing to ignore you and take your word for it when you said you were fine.

"I'm sorry, the thing is...I'm scared of heights. I should've told you, but I didn't want to ruin things." You admit, sighing as you now worry solemnly on the fact that you could've just ruined the date.

"Hey, you could never ruin things." He soothes, softly.

"I'm just sorry I didn't notice sooner because I would've stopped us from coming on here and we could've just admired it from the ground." He sighs.

"It's not your fault, you weren't to know." You tell him.

"Y/N, I accept you for who you are and if a fear of heights is a part of that, then I will always accept that." He says, sincerely.

"Really?"

"Of course." He replies, genuinely.

"Thank you, that means a lot." You say, letting out a breath of relief.

"You're welcome, Y/N." He smiles, reaching his other hand out to grasp yours.

"Always." He whispers, before closing the gap once more.

A/N:

Hi everyone <3

I'm so sorry for such a long wait for this update :( I finished my course at college last week and have been revising for my GCSEs now for my exams in a few weeks time. I also had some time to update over the weekend, but I was trying to enjoy the sun and spend some time with my family as we haven't had a lovely day in England like we did over the weekend for almost two years, so I really wanted to make the most of it. <3

I don't usually tell people much about my personal life, but I'm also meeting a guy on a 'date' this weekend, and I'm really nervous. We haven't labelled it as a date though, we're just two people meeting up and hanging out :) but hopefully I will be able to get the third imagine in the mini vampire series up before then. <3

Lots of love,

Lauren xx
