“Well, when I was younger, prior to my LOL obsession when I actually spoke to my parents, if anything bad was going on my mum would tell me to close my eyes and think of something that makes me happy.”

“Wish I’d known that trick when I was younger,” I said in response.

“Well you know it now,” he smiled.

I rolled over onto my stomach and closed my eyes.

“Alright, I’m going to try it,” I told him.

I started thinking over everything bad that was going on. I let all my worries come into my mind, all my panic, everything that scared me and then with one deep breath I forced my mind to go blank. Think of something that makes you happy, I told myself. And suddenly I was happy. I saw rainbows, sunshine, Audrey Hepburn, chocolate, hot milo, watermelon; a flood of bright a beautiful things were rushing through my mind. I was so freaking happy.

“SABRINA YOU LITTLE SHIT COME HERE NOW!!!” I heard my father’s voice bellow down the hall.

I opened my eyes, rolling over onto my side to look at Leonard again. He smiled a half smile as his eyes opened and closed slowly, he was fighting to stay awake.

“You go to sleep,” I told him, “I’ll deal with my father.”

“Don’t throw a vase at him again!” he laughed, and I rolled my eyes at him before leaving the room.

When I got into the hall my dad was standing there with his hands on his hips.

“You know what you’ve done,” he breathed.

“Fight me.” I said back.

We began throwing things at each other. He picked up the coffee table and smashed it over my head, and I threw a large painting into his neck. It was nothing too big, just a bit of an argument. After ten minutes of this, dad picked up my treasured handbag that my awesome friend Emma bought me and threatened to light it on fire.

“PAPPA NO” I screamed.

“K,” he shrugged, and walked out of the room and back into the kitchen where the rest of my family was.

“Well that’s sorted then,” I shrugged, and walked back into my bedroom where I could hopefully penetrate the shit out of Leonard.
